Within our trip through France, Belgium and Holland this summer, one of the essential stops that we made was Futuroscope. We certainly got it right. A different, unique park that our 4 and 7 year olds have loved. It is also a very family-friendly park so the whole family can enjoy it together.

Our family trip this summer 2020 began in France. And here an essential was to go to Futuroscope, a very familiar amusement park that for our children after the confinement they experienced was going to be a great reward.
Expenses for a trip to Futuroscope in a motorhome
In total, a trip to Futuroscope by motorhome can cost you around 600 euros. But you can always take advantage of the trip to see the area or visit Brittany, Loire, etc ... The location is very good to do more things.
Firstly, when going in our car we considered 400 euros in fuel and toll costs to go to and from Barcelona and to travel a bit around the area.
Next, we added the cost of Futuroscope tickets for two consecutive days during mid-season for the four of us (two children, ages 4 and 7). The total cost was €133, which is quite a bargain compared to other theme parks. Children only pay from age 5 onwards, and then the price is €59 for two days and €74 for two days for adults. We wouldn't recommend going for less than two days.
And then we have parking expenses, which in this case is also a motorhome area, with a good shaded area and all services, including bringing you bread and croissants in the morning. The cost of the area is 9 euros during the day and 4 euros per night.

If you want to do it in a motorhome, the truth is that it is a good place. Consequently, we always recommend to friends to rent a motorhome on a platform like air b and b, for rental between individuals with insurance. It is cheaper and we have very good experiences with friends who have done it.

The good thing is that it is a very family-friendly park and that the attractions are practically for the whole family, including the little ones.
It was really a park of ten for our children.

First of all, we recommend a minimum of two days to visit the park and see a show. Although the optimal way to see everything would surely be 3 days.
The park is large in size and if you want to enjoy a bit of relaxation, two days with kids can also be hard. It also depends on the season and the queues.
Two to three days would be ideal. There are some great deals for two consecutive days and three days on the Futuroscope website. I searched extensively outside of Futuroscope's website, and any offers I found were the same price as the official park website. So, I recommend buying your ticket directly from the Futuroscope website in their deals section.
In addition, there's another great option: priority passes. If you don't want to queue and are short on time, you can buy them and save time, which is also money. 2 Plan your visit well: days to visit the park and Futuroscope hours
As we have previously mentioned, we believe that the optimal way to see Futuroscope well is 2 - 3 days, depending on the season, queues and relaxation that you want to have during the visit.
To plan your visit to the park, you should familiarize yourself with Futuroscope's opening hours and the daily show times. At the park entrance, you'll receive a map with the showtimes for the day you'll be visiting. However, you can also plan your visit by checking the schedule on the Futuroscope website, specifically in the "Schedule and Opening Hours" section.
As a general rule, the park opens from 10 am to 20:30 pm at night with most of the attractions in operation. And at 20 pm there is the nightly Circ du Solei show that makes the final closing.

5 The attractions you should not miss
Telling you the attractions that you cannot miss is something complicated and very committed. It is something very personal.
First of all tell you that advising one or other attractions is not just a matter of taste, but also a matter of age.
We will tell you which were the favorite attractions of our little ones (remember 4 and 7 years old) and for us adults. But always think that it is a personal choice.
Without a doubt, what was a huge hit with our children was Futuropolis , the city for toddlers and professions. They didn't want to leave for anything. And since there weren't many queues, they kept going on ride after ride after ride after ride.
Within Futuropolis I must emphasize that they loved the attraction of "apprentice pilots", or as my children used to say the driving school as kids. In addition, the water play area, the "water garden", is spectacular and very refreshing on hot days like the ones we live in. But I don't want to underestimate any of the Futuropolis attractions, because, although they are not very large in size, they are all very fun for children. They even rode in the «centrifuge», fun but suitable only for those who do not get sick.
Other attractions that not only they liked but we did too were: the Rabbits' "Time Machine" , the "Dynamic Vienne" , super beautiful and exciting, the "Ice Age" show, very original and fun, the boats that shoot water, super fun and refreshing in summer, and the "Extraordinary Journey" , which seemed too short because we liked it so much!
And for those of us who are older and like pure adrenaline, the must-see attractions are the original " Destination Mars" roller coaster and the "Dance of the Robots".
6 Essential shows
In Futuroscope you will not only find impressive futuristic architecture, landscape harmony or attractions. A highlight are also their shows.
Basically there are 3. « The Mysteries of Kube» , which will leave you wide-eyed with acrobatics; «Illusio» , a magic show and finally the night show which is the most famous «La Forge aux étoiles» , a light and sound show designed by Cirque du Soleil.
Therefore, if you can see them all, better than just 1. You will like them!
7 In summer, take a swimsuit
If you're going in the summer, here's a good tip: bring swimsuits , at least for the children.
First of all, you should know that there is a very refreshing area in Futuropolis that the little ones will surely want to try. And there is not only this area, you will find other refreshing points during your visit to Futuroscope.

We would never have said that we would enjoy eating Futuroscope so well. And the truth is that both days we ate there in different restaurants and none left us indifferent.
Without a doubt, you have just enjoyed the total Futuroscope experience by eating at one of its restaurants.
Finally, here's a photo of the dessert we loved—a solar system-shaped dessert—at Atelier dus Savoirs. Beautiful and delicious! And speaking of prices, there are plenty of restaurants to suit all budgets, with menus that aren't much more expensive than in Spain.
9 Visit Futuroscope with your pet
Visiting Futuroscope with your pet is now possible . Right in the motorhome parking area, next to reception, you'll find the Futuroscope Dog Daycare.
Finally you should know that the price if I remember correctly is € 10 per day. Very reasonably priced so they are well cared for.
10 Sleep at Futuroscope in a motorhome. And in the morning for breakfast warm bread and croissants.
Futuroscope is certainly one of those 10 places to visit by motorhome. Not only does it provide a good motorhome parking lot, but also a complete motorhome area with all the services you need.
Next, you should know that away from the Disney area, Futuroscope has an area with good shade from trees , dirt and with services for emptying, filling grey and black water and even if you need electricity to recharge the batteries (both filling water and electricity have a small additional cost of 2 euros).
The price of the area to park during the day is € 9 and to spend the night at night € 4. In total € 13 very reasonable for a motorhome area 3 minutes from the park entrance.
Finally, we'd like to mention that you can also reserve bread and croissants at the parking reception, a bonus that is definitely worthwhile to start the day with a good breakfast.
