Our complete route through 23 spectacular destinations in Greece

The marshes of the Stofylia National Park

From Patras our first stop is on the coast, an hour and a little from the port of Patras in a nature reserve facing the sea with salt marshes and where is it located one of the 9 motorhome areas with all the services of Greece and in front of the beach. A beautiful place with a beach, nature and even the walls of an old fortress. From here we will discover that Greece is sea, wild nature, fauna and flora and history everywhere.

Killini, port to the Ionian Islands

Just entering Killini breathes the sea and good food. Killini is one of our destinations for being the port Where do the ferries depart from? ionian islands of Kefalonia, Ithaca and Zant

Right in front of the port we can park and they let us spend the night with the motorhome, to take the ferry the next day.

In front there are many restaurants with terraces and next to it a beach with great hammocks.

Sooner or later, 15 minutes from the port of Kilini, if we want we can visit the Chlemoutsi Castle, one of the most important castles in the Peloponnese.

Kefalonia Island, one of the places to see in Greece

I once read in a National Geographic article that if you can only see one Greek island make it Kefalonia and you won't regret it. That stuck in my mind.

Why Cephalonia

But not only that was what marked the choice of this island on our trip. We did not want to go to an island that meant more than 2 hours of travel, we also did not want the most touristic and well-known islands and we wanted an island that offered more than just beaches.

With those intentions we went to Kefalonia. Y Kefalonia did not disappoint, you can see the complete guide that we have made on the blog about the best places what to see in Cephalonia of Greece.

On the island we could immediately see that tourism is more on the islands than on the mainland of Greece. In general, after the trip, we can say that it is where we find more people and tourism by far, apart from Athens, Delphi and Meteora.

Our first beach and our favorite beach in Kefalonia

In Kefalonia we were in the first place in one of its best beaches, the Antisamos beach, a paradise of crystal clear waters. Where you can park in one of the parking lots of one of the taverns in exchange for eating in them and they let you spend the night. The access road, however, is long and very narrow, with steep slopes and as it has a lot of traffic at some point we had a bit of a hard time with the motorhome. It is always better to do the road in the late afternoon or early in the morning.

Where to stay and spend the night in Kefalonia

From Antisamos we went to Karavomilos, where the only place to do the services of the motorhome is located, the Camping Karavomilos. And there we were so comfortable and so well that they turned into two days of swimming pool and camping enjoying the surroundings and activities of Karavomilos and Sami, since the campsite is between the two towns. The campsite was really great.

What to see in Cephalonia

During the days we were in Kefalonia we visited different places. Of them we recommend you go to the La Drogarati cave, myrtos beach, they say is the most beautiful in Greece, the precious asso village and Melissani Lake, that despite the boat ride is 10 minutes, the place is very beautiful, a beautiful cenote 20 minutes from the Karavomilos campsite on foot along the beach. Greek mythology tells that in Lake Melissani a nymph committed suicide when she was rejected by the love of a demi-God. Then it became a refuge lake for all the nymphs and nymphs-in-training who needed a quiet and inaccessible place to hide.

To go to Myrtos beach and the town of Assos we did it by hiring a private taxi tour, in one of the little shops that you will see in Samos.

Then in the southern part of Cephalonia we already find another environment, different from the one in the north that we have just explained to you. The south is more for families and quiet. On the other hand, in the north of the island we see more of an atmosphere of young people and parties. The south houses the capital of the island, Argostoli and the best golden and red sand beaches that give Cephalonia the great variety of beaches it has and hence its great appeal.

Olympia, origin of the Olympic Games

In Olympia, overnight stays in the site's parking lots are totally prohibited. For this reason and because with the heat and the children a campsite is the best, we go to a small family campsite with a swimming pool, the Campsite Alfios. We go straight, park and take a bath. The campsite is small but very cozy and with good shade.

Around 18:10 p.m., after the sun has gone down, we go to see the museum and ruins of the archaeological site of Olympia, a XNUMX-minute walk from the campsite. We start with the Museum, with air conditioning and then by the deposits. Everything is included with the same ticket. you can see the Complete guide on how to visit Olympia in Greece in our blog.

During the visit Jose almost stepped on a snake, often scared. The first of many snakes we will see in Greece. Watch out for them.

Lusios Gorges between rock-cut monasteries

We woke up early to do the 5 kilometer route of the Lusios Gorges.

We parked in the parking lot at the exit of the route.

In this route it is worth highlighting the monastery of Néa Moní Filosófou that it is a seventeenth century building that today is inhabited by a single monk. Inside, there are some fresco paintings from 1693.

Another monastery of interest is Moníou Agia Ioánna Prodroma, XNUMXth century. Located in a cut on the eastern flank of the canyon, it offers magnificent views. In turn, do not miss the monasteries by Palea Moni (in ruins and from the year 960, which makes it the oldest in the place) and Moni Aimyalon. The latter, founded in 1605, rises in a lateral canyon, on some gardens.

Finally, other remarkable places, besides the car park, are the gories (an ancient therapeutic center from the XNUMXth century BC dedicated to Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine) and the kokkoras bridge (a masterpiece of medieval engineering successfully restored). The monasteries are closed from 13:17 p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.

Gythion, Cranae Island and Dimitrios Boat Beach

We arrive at Mani Peninsula. Here an essential is to visit Gitión or Gythion to see its islet of Cranae with its beautiful lighthouse. We parked at the port.

We eat here and then we go to take a bath in the Dimitrios sunken ship beach, 10 minutes driving, where in front we can also see turtle nesting. To sleep we will go to the Mavrovuni campsite as we know that by law spending the night on the beaches is prohibited.

Dimitrios boat beach, in Githion, Mani Peninsula

Mavrovuni home to one of the most windsurfing beaches, one of the places to see in Greece

In Mavrovuni we settled in a family campsite with a swimming pool, right on the beach and very quiet, the Camping Meltemi. There are 4 campsites, one next to the other on the same road, you can choose. It has been the only place where we found so many campsites and together, too. In general, Greece does not have many campsites.

In Mavrovuni we enjoyed two days of rest, camping, beach, swimming pool and set up to continue the route.

An ideal place with a long golden beach and transparent waters, where the king sport is windsurfing. From the same campsite they impart windsurfing classes and rent the material.

Pyrgos Dirou

In Pirgous Dirou, a town where you will find a store of ceramic crafts, the great attraction is the Cave of Diros. 30 minutes from the Mavrovuni campsite where we are, we arrive at the cave. The cave has a tour in boat on the internal lake and a walking tour among stigmates and stalactites. In front of the cave, the setting is also beautiful, a crystal clear beach with turquoise waters and a small chapel.

After the visit if you want a bath there is a spectacular beach 5 km away to suffocate the heat.

Gerolimenas, one of the most beautiful fishing villages in Mani and one of the places to see in Greece

An ideal place to eat in a good restaurant in fresh fish and seafood freshly caught is Gerolimena 30 minutes from Pirgos Dirou. One of the essential places to see in Greece for your route.

Gerolimenas is one of the most beautiful villages of the Mani Peninsula. A small and charming fishing village, very picturesque with the old stone buildings against the background of fishing boats and the blue sea. It has several taverns and beautiful beaches.

In Gerolimenas it was one of the places where we ate the best in Greece, seeing how the fisherman sold the food directly to the restaurant.

In addition, the small beach of Gerolimenas has spectacular, crystal clear and turquoise water and you can rent a small boat. A place that you should not miss without a doubt in the Mani Peninsula if you go to Greece in a motorhome.

Vathia, stone houses and a lot of peace

Another of the most beautiful villages of the Mani Peninsula inside is Vathia. It will take us 20 minutes to get there from Gerolimenas and here we will find a village with typical Mani stone constructions. A very uninhabited place too, small but full of peace.

Monemvasia, a must, one of the essential places to see in Greece

Monemvasia is one of the most beautiful villages in Greece and the so-called Greek Gibraltar. The one that we can visit with the fresh air and have a drink on one of its terraces. It is beautiful hidden behind a rock and full of churches, castles, beautiful houses, alleys each more beautiful and craft shops. A place that we loved and we recommend 100% as one of the essential places in Greece by motorhome.

Too bad that Monemvasia memory has brought me a horrible migraine. For one afternoon she completely annulled me. A little more and we have to use Iati's travel insurance, I've never had a seizure this big.

On the way to Monemvasia, if you want, we can stop at a wine cellar without diverting anything. A Greek wine cellar that lets motorhomes stay overnight and park in exchange for buying the good wine they produce.

Warehouse GPS coordinates: N36°51'29.4″E 22°41'49.0″/36.858170, 22.696930

To sleep in Monemvasia it is totally forbidden to do it anywhere other than the port, where the police directly take you when they see you. There are no campsites and that is why the town hall has kindly made this place available to us.

The Petrified Forest of the Agios Nikolaos Geopark

Now we are talking about a paradise beach area where you can reach 1,5 hours from Nomenvasia, within the beautiful , where we can only park and where camping is highly guarded and overnight stays are totally prohibited throughout the Geopark and area.

In the Agios Nikolaos Geopark we find the Petrified Forest, rock formations in the shape of small trees, and also, many coves with dreamlike caves and even a sunken ship under the sea for snorkeling.

To sleep, but, we will have to return to Monemasia or go to Pounta.

Pounta and the lost city under the sea of Pavlopetri

Pounta is a microvillage very uninhabited, but an incredible place to visit and spend the night. In Pounta one of the biggest attractions for us is the Complete motorhome area, with all water filling and emptying services what's up. A private area of a tavern where in exchange for dinner or lunch and paying €3 we will be in front of an impressive beach, we can camp and we can do services.

In Pounta we find one of the best beaches we have stepped on in Greece. Spectacular for its color, transparency, but above all for its solitude, which made the place even more magical.

The lost city in the sea: Pavlopetri

In addition, on Pounta beach we find the prehistoric city of Pavlopetri under the sea with 3 marked itineraries for snorkeling very close to the shore of the beach. Without a doubt, one of those places that we would repeat and that we wrote down as essential for a route to Greece in a motorhome.

Paradise beach of Pounta, in front of the island of Elafonisios
Paradise beach of Pounta, in front of the island of Elafonisios

The island of Elafonisos

Another attraction of Pounta is that from there we can also access one of the islands that, according to National Geographic, is the most beautiful in the Peloponnese: the island of Elafonisos.

is fucked this ferry and the island of Elafonisos is accessed in 20 minutes, from the same Pounta beach, very close to the tavern's motorhome area.

Mystrás or Mistrá, the Byzantine city World Heritage Site by UNESCO

Mistra or Mystras, Byzantine city built on top of a rock and surrounded by a wall. It was founded by the Franks in the year 1249, declared UNESCO World Heritage SiteOr in 1989.

The Mystrás tour is designed to leave the motorhome at the lower door, take a taxi to the door from above and go down the entire slope looking at the whole area. We, but we take the taxi directly at the Camping where we go directly to park and swim in the pool before visiting Mystras. The campsite is called Castle View Campground, highly recommended and which is very close to the first car park in Mystras (15 minutes on foot).

How to visit Mystras

The girl at the campsite reception very kindly called a taxi driver for us and in no time we were at the top for €7, two € more than the cost of the parking lot below. Upstairs we did everything journey down through this impressive Byzantine archaeological complex in the following order:

  1. Villehardouin Castle, at the top with the best views
  2. Agia Sofia, Palace Church and cemetery of women of emperors
  3. Agios Nikolaos, a small church with frescoes a bit in poor condition
  4. Nafplio gate. Entrance to the Upper City.
  5. Palace of Despots (Lords)
  6. Monemvasia Gate. Entrance to the so-called "lower city"
  7. Pantanassa Convent. Convent inhabited by nuns still with frescoes in its Church. The one that the whole family liked the most for housing many cats and a lot of peace inside.
  8. Perivleptos monastery. Next to a cliff with a cave that supports its structure and with beautiful frescoes from the 1300s.
  9. Agios Georgios. a private chapel
  10. Laskaris Mansion. A typical Byzantine house.
  11. metropolis. The Agios Dimitrios Cathedral with frescoes and inside a beautiful courtyard.
  12. Museum within the Metropolis, with ancient clothes and objects from Mystras.
  13. Vrontokhion monastery. The richest monastery and where the great lords of the Byzantine City were buried.
  14. Agios Theodoros. A very pretty little chapel.
  15. Agios Aphentiko monastery with nice frescoes.

Clearly We highly recommend visiting Mystras, a very nice, large and entertaining place during the visit, one of the basic places to see in Greece.

Nafplio, the ancient Greek capital

Nauplia, in Spanish, was the first greek capital Between about 1800 and it is one of the cities that they say is one of the most beautiful in Greece, although it did not seem so to us, it may be that we prefer small towns.

What to see and do in Nafplio, we leave it here synthesized:

  1. Palamidis Castle and Fort. The best dresses in the city. You can climb its 901 steps or go to the parking lot, which is free but small. You have to pay around €10 to visit it.
  2. Bourtzi castle and fort on an islet. To visit it you have to take a boat from the promenade. Visiting it costs about €6
  3. Akronafplia Fort, the only one with free visits and without opening hours and the oldest in the City.
  4. Stroll through the lively port
  5. See the Agios Spyridon Church where, at its Gate, the first elected president of Greece in 1828, Ioannis Kapodistrias, was assassinated.
  6. Get lost in the flower-filled alleys of its old town
  7. Go to the turquoise beaches of the City. The best known beaches are the Karathona beach (3 km from the city) and the arvanitia (5 minutes walk from the city).
  8. Visit a museum The most interesting perhaps is the Peloponnesian folklore.

Mycenae, cradle of civilization

In Mycenae we arrived and went straight to the Camping Atreus. As we already have the experience that in all archaeological sites it is forbidden to spend the night, we are no longer beating around the bush and we go straight to the campsite to park and take a dip in the pool.

In the afternoon, with the sun going down, we decided to move to visit the site World Heritage Site by UNESCO of Greece from Mycenae.

If you want to know what to see in Mycenae and how to visit the ancient city of Mycenae we detail everything in this guide where we explain our experience and everything that will be good for you to know before going.

Diakopto, ride on the cog railway through the rock of the Vouraikos gorge

An essential in the Peloponnese is the excursion with el Vouraikos Gorge and Gorge rack railway that goes from the sea to the mountain in a path between the rock of the mountain (€19 path).

We come early in the morning and park in the parking lot of the diakopto-station, with nothing in sight and well closed, since we have seen in park4night that some late night there has been a robbery. Once on the train, the route to Kalavryta which takes 1 hour.

Before Kalavryta we can stop at the Kato Zachlorou station and from there make the route of a 45-minute walk to the Moni Mega Spilaio, oldest monastery in Greece nestled in an impressive rock.

In Kalavryta there is a very interesting museum and the mountain village is worth a visit.

To sleep we will leave diakopto and we will go to a private motorhome area that is nearby, in aegialia, one of the 9 with all services in Greece. Or, we can go to Camping Akrata Beach and head to the next destination of Corinth.

Corinth, 3 impressive visiting areas

The visit to Corinth is not a single visit and it is not all in the same place. Here our visit is divided into 3 zones different:

  • Acrocorinth, the medieval fortress and ancient acropolis at the top of a mountain.
  • Ancient Corinth Major Sites, where we find the old polis, the temple of apollo and the archaeological museum. At the base of the mountain 4 km from Acrocorinth.
  • El corinth canal. Just as many kilometers away we find this impressive channel that joins the Aegean Sea with the Adriatic and has a spectacular emerald color.

If you want more details about how to visit Corinto and what to see in Corinto in each of these areas, here is a complete guide with all our experience to visit the ancient corinth city in greece.

To spend the night in Corinto, the best is one of the campsites on the coast or one of the nearby taverns.

Athens

A must in Greece was to visit the acropolis of athens, its capital, and the nerve center of ancient Greece.

When planning the trip, we saw that parking in Athens and spending the night was going to be complicated. Either they were banned or there had been thefts. In Atenas there is only one campsite and we immediately tried to reserve a plot. A month into our trip they told us that everything was complete. Our joy in a well.

This is how we find a private parking, in front of the acropolis that allowed us to spend the night for €40 24 hours, a bit expensive, without services, but guarded and in front of the acropolis, with unbeatable views.

What to see and do in Athens by motorhome

From that private parking we were able to enjoy the visit of Athens with our children to the fullest. In fact, you can see in our complete guide to athens, with 2 walking routes, maps, 12 tips and 10 essential destinations. A city that surprised us for good. We don't like cities very much, but once we park it must be said that we usually enjoy everything that cities offer. Museums, great monuments, squares, bustling shopping streets and good restaurants. Here, it was the same, we absolutely enjoyed all of it.

We first visited the impressive acropolis, which we advise you to get the tickets here before, since the queues that are bundled are tremendous.

From the acropolis and the archaeological museum we went to the roman forum and then at old forum Greek to imagine great Greek philosophers and politicians in the cradle of democracy.

From there we did not lose a detail, between the great atmosphere of the streets, the Monastiraki neighborhood, visiting the Tower of the Winds, Hadrian's Library, the Temple of Hephaestion and the Byzantine Church of Kapnikarea. In Monastiraki, In addition, we ate with views of the acropolis super well.

And finally from Monastiraki we finally ended up visiting the beautiful neighborhood of Plaka and the temple of Olympian Zeus. within the neighborhood of Plaka, In addition, we will visit the small neighborhood of Anaphiotika, whitewashed streets reminiscent of islands like Mykonos. Plaka is a neighborhood where you can enjoy a perfect dinner and that we all loved. You just have to leave the main streets to get out of the tourist circuit and you will find the essence of this neighborhood before. In addition to this, in the complete guide to Athens you will be able to see in more detail other visits we made and tips.

Delphi, one of the most magical places to see in Greece

El holiest place in the world, the navel of the world, today Heritage of humanity by unesco. That was Delphi for the ancient Greeks. A place of pilgrimage where the mysterious Oracle of Delphi interpreted by the Pythias, priestesses, revealed future events and advised the great Greek cities, polis, on their affairs of state.

Arriving at Delphi we immediately realized that it would be very complicated parking. It was noted that it is one of the major tourist attractions in Greece. There are no large car parks, you can only park on the sides of the road marked as car parks, and there are not too many. In addition, overnight stays in all of Delphi are totally prohibited.

So, we set out to go straight to the closest campsite there was. A success of camping for what it does to the camping itself, since it was one of the best in which we stayed in Greece. The camping is called Apollo, or Apollo, as they write. One of the best Greek campsites we've been to.

delphi has 3 visiting areas, we tell you in our blog all about them and How to visit Delphi in Greece.

We did the visits just as they did ancient pilgrims who came to this sacred place that was Delphi.

Meteora

Of the 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Greece, this is one of our favorites next to Delphi. And if you are interested, do not miss our detailed article about what to see and how to visit Meteora in Greece, with our experience and tips.

Meteora in Greece, is located in the plain of Thessaly, in central Greece. An area where they wait for us huge pillars of sandstone rock, resulting from erosion processes of thousands of years and where a spiritual zone important in the country for its current 6 monasteries, where some still live 60 religious today, they had previously grown to 24 monasteries.

On the way to Meteora: Thermopylae

From Delphi to Meteora you can stop at thermopylae, without going too far. You can just stop at its memorial at the foot of the road. In addition, when crossing the road, you will also find some hot water pools right there, where there is currently a refugee camp.

Meteora

Meteora is a different place, a place that surprises any traveler. To think that there were once 24 monasteries suspended on the peaks of these jagged rocky mountains gives one goosebumps. Today we can only see 6 and everything and so, we are shocked by the landscape of Meteora.

Although it is true that we had so many expectations that then Meteora seemed smaller than we expected. Actually, it's a very confined area of pointed rounded mountains. Very localized in the back of Kastraki, where we stayed at the campsite, to kalampaka, Kalambaka in Castilian, the largest population in the area. Approximately 20 hectares of land in a fairly flat area where these rocks reach about 600 meters of altitude.

Despite being a radius of 8 km of highway through which you see the whole area, it is a spectacular area and it is not surprising that it is a World Heritage Site.

Its appearance reminds us of the magical mountains of Montserrat, in Catalonia, which also has a spiritual component due to the monastery and sanctuary of Montserrat. What in Meteora, there are 6 visitable monasteries and all are located suspended on the tops of rounded pointed mountains. Meteora, precisely, means that “rocks in the air”.

By road, Meteora is reached via Kalambaka as the main gate. A medium-sized population where we take the opportunity to buy provisions in a Lidl that we find at the entrance of the municipality. In Greece it is difficult to find supermarkets since all the towns are very small and at most we find some small grocery store.

Meteora from one of its viewpoints
Meteora from one of its viewpoints

Overnight in Meteora in a motorhome or camper

As in the entire Meteora area it is totally forbidden for motorhomes and campers to stay overnight with fines of up to 300 euros that have been imposed on colleagues, we decided to settle in a campsite. Our choice is Camping Vrachos, at the entrance of Kastraki, smaller municipality adjoining Kalambaka and from where the panoramic road that passes through the 6 monasteries leaves.

The campsite is excellent, with views of Meteora, with all the services, a good tavern with a nightly barbecue, Wi-Fi and a swimming pool to cool off. In addition, from the campsite there is a bus that goes through the 6 monasteries of Meteora and they also rent electric bicycles.

Apart from the services, our children love the campsite because they have already seen 2 mediterranean turtles around our plot. In Greece there are many Mediterranean land turtles, we even saw them in the parks and sites of Athens.

At the campsite we spent a day doing laundry, cleaning, camping quietly and resting. We only went out at night to visit the pretty town, play for a while in its park and have dinner in one of its taverns with views of Meteora. A beautiful sunset.

How to visit Meteora by motorhome or camper

The next day we are going to visit the 6 monasteries directly with the motorhome by road, although we decided to visit only a few inside, so as not to tire the little ones too much. Locals in the area recommend three.

If you prefer to leave the motorhome at the campsite, remember there is a bus, although with infrequent passage that leaves the campsite to the monasteries. Also for the more daring you can climb the road renting electric bikes at the campsite or pedaling with yours.

Finally, another option, if you want to make the most of your visit to Meteora and without moving your motorhome or camper from the campsite, there are guided tours from Kalambaka or Kastraki to Civitatis that are quite well priced and are very complete and you will discover more intensely the charm of this magical place. If you go in high season, it is surely the best option to avoid parking problems and not worry.

To visit the 6 is easy, it is a single road where there are different parking lots for each monastery. And to access each monastery after parking, we must climb more or less stairs, excavated in the rock until arriving at him. At the entrance of each monastery you have to pay between 4-5 € per person. And another thing you should know is that the monasteries each have their schedule. Between the 15 p.m. to 17 p.m. It's closing hours. To see more about how to visit meteora in greece you have this article that we have done with our experience with more practical details for your visit.

Vikos Gorge, Pindos National Park

We leave Central Greece to enter our destiny northernmost of Greece, in what will be our trip: the Pindos or Pindus National Park. One of the largest mountain ranges in Greece that touches Metsovo, Albania, Macedonia and the Ionian Sea. Some mountains within the Greek regions of the Epirus and Thessaly.

We arrived at the national park through its large door, at its Park Interpretation Center, where one of her informants very kindly explains all kinds of details about the National Park.

First of all, we understand that the Pindos National Park, established in 1973, is a large national park that houses various areas and protected natural parks within. Our informant explains that There are 3 main roads and each one leads to a different area of the National Park.

Being summer and hot, we decided to discover more extensively the third zone of the Pindos National Park, the one that falls to the left of the Vikos Gorge, of the Vikos gorge.

A great success, since it is the area that has captivated us most of our entire trip to Greece.

Ultra manicured gemstone villages. With craft shops, cafes and restaurants of ten. And with icy turquoise waters of a captivating river, such as the Voidomatis, in which we do Rafting, our We swim in its beaches and in its impressive pools in the rock of Papingo.

Without a doubt an area that we recommend 100%. You can read all about our experience in the Pindos and Vikos Gorge National Park in this article where we explain what to see and do in the area apart from where to spend the night in a motorhome.

Ioannina

La Capital of Epirus and gateway to the Pindos Mountains and the Vilkos Gorge, could not be otherwise than an obligatory stop on our route through the north center of Greece.

Ionánina is not only the nerve center of the Epirus region, it is the city of the Greek lake par excellence, the Lake Pamvotis.

After a few days in the Pindos National Park around the Vikos Gorge, we urgently need to drain and fill the water and the closest campsite to the Natural Park is the Ioannina campsite, a very basic campsite that belongs to the municipality's yacht club.

The campsite has very basic services, but the best thing about the place is that it is located next to Lake Pamvotis with beautiful views. From here we visit Ioánnina in Greece, its Ottoman vestiges and we will tell you everything in this post about what to see and do in Ioánnina in Greece.

yogoumenitsa

Iogumenitsa is our last destination in Greece and our exit door to the return Spain. It is from here that we take the first ferry that will take us to Ancona, Italy.

From Ancona we will cross Italy in a motorhome in 3,5 hours and we will take the second ferry in Civitavecchia, which will take us to Barcelona.

Stop at the Sacred Forest, in Italy on the way to Barcelona

On the way between Ancona and Civitavecchia we made a stop in Italy that we recommend: the Bosco Sacro or Monster Park in Bomarzo. A point on the way between the two ferries, almost without deviating, that we loved visiting.
