10. Calderas do Castro

Belonging to the small municipality of Muxia on the Costa da Morte (Galicia) through which the Castro river passes. Hence its name and Caldeiras for the small pools that form in the upper part. In the past, the access was a bit difficult and now it is suitable to be able to enjoy this wonder of nature. Right when you arrive, you will not see the pools but that is what will surprise you even more when you visit it. It is recommended to visit them in summer to be able to enjoy and take a bath in it. It belongs to the town of Muxía in Galicia.

In Caldeiras do Castro we will have to park next to a small church; parking is quite limited and it is located next to some beautiful picnic areas perfect for enjoying the surroundings. We spent the night there, as there was no sign indicating otherwise. Without a doubt, it is perfect for small vans and motorhomes. Remember to never camp in places like these, it is totally forbidden to remove tables, chairs, awning or any element from the vehicle. Ideal for one of your motorhome trips!

11. Coll de Nargo

Small town in the Alt Urgell region, next to the Oliana reservoir. It has a beautiful small Romanesque church in honor of Sant Climent. The old quarter of the town, made of stone and with steep alleys, is beautiful. In it, is the Museo dels Raiers where the profession of Raiero is explained. Then we recommend you take a quiet walk (about 4km) on foot or by bike along the path that runs next to the Oliana Swamp. Or walk up the mountain to Coll Piqué (3,5km) where with luck you will be able to observe several birds of prey and where if it is your thing you can also do climbing.

For cyclists with a higher level, you can do routes with spectacular views of the Pyrenees through the Sierra de Aubenç and Roc de Cogul. And if paleontology is your thing, or you simply travel with children, in the Dinosfera museum you can see a nest of fossilized dinosaur eggs and learn about the reproduction of dinosaurs and their birth. 12. More Casablanca in Taradell

The Mas Casablanca is a farm with the structure and operation of a traditional Catalan country house: the one that gives work to a family and allows them to live according to the possibilities of the land they work…a way of life that unfortunately today is about to disappear. This destination is an opportunity to discover the roots of our popular culture.

Pep and his family offer us all kinds of explanations and we can feed and touch all the animals on the farm. The visits can be done on your own or guided and there is also the possibility of hiring food or bringing a picnic. In other words, a great experience to learn and have fun. Campers and motorhomes are welcome at Mas Casablanca as we can spend the night for €6/night in one of its fields with restrooms and picnic tables.

13. Platforms and Bleik (Lofoten)

Andenes is the northernmost point of the Lofoten Islands (Norway). It is the first town you find when you arrive by ferry from Senja Island. It is a perfect place to spot orcas and whales. We went to see orcas with the company Whale2Sea. The experience lasted about two hours and we were able to admire the orcas very close to us. For us, it was unforgettable. Then, going up to the beautiful lighthouse of Andenes is also something beautiful. You can park in different places in the center of town without any problem.

Just 5 km south of Andenes, taking the main road, is the town of Bleik. We park and spend the night at their campsite, since there are no other options. One minute from the campsite is one of the most beautiful beaches we have seen. A huge beach, surrounded by some mountains, and in the middle of August, we were alone. In other words, great for one of your motorhome trips!

This is the parking lot where we stopped at Andenes: N 69°19'15.4812” E 16°7'40.5984”. It is a day and night parking area, leveled with gravel. It is located in the center of town and is free. The Bleik campsite is at these coordinates: N 69°18'14.76” E 16°4'2.2836” and it cost us 200NOK for one night.

15. Mogarraz, the town with a thousand faces

Medieval town nestled in the Sierra de Francia or as others call it "The town of painted faces" where more than 300 portraits of its inhabitants, painted in oil, decorate the facades of their houses since in 2008 a local artist recovered an old archive. A town that between stone alleys, mountains, forests and vineyards, hides multiple secrets

Then you can not miss the route of the water paths and to regain strength drink some wines in its famous wineries or local bars, with the Sufete grape as the protagonist. Without a doubt, it is a magical place that is worth visiting. It is very difficult to find a place to park our mobile homes, so the best and very good option is to take advantage of the courtesy of the Mirasierra restaurant and enjoy its wonderful menu. 16. Calasparra, rice, a rock sanctuary and much more

Today we are going to Calasparra, which is known for its rice paddies, so we can start with a walk through the rice fields and then go eat it in any of the restaurants in town. That plan never fails! Probably the best known place in Calasparra is the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Esperanza. It is spectacular, with the hermitage in the grotto, the river and the legend of the virgin "the little one". They allow you to go up to the chapel of the Virgin and the visit is free, with ample parking, a picnic area and bathrooms. It is about 6 km. Township.

Another of the most fascinating places is the Cueva del Puerto, equipped with walkways and accompanied by a guide, you could visit a part of this great cave (it has up to 9 km of galleries). Attention to temporary closures. And do not forget to visit the shelter of the well or cave of the puppets (of cave art), or drop by the viewpoint of the black head: it has a volcanic outcrop of lamproites, which reminded me of the "calzada de the giants” of Ireland.

In summary, in Calasparra there is everything: rice fields, caves, sanctuaries, river... It's a great destination! There is no AC area in it, but Tourism told us that there was no problem parking and spending the night. Then they recommended the area of the athletics tracks, because it is quiet and with some services nearby. But if you want an area, you can always go to Archena, which is free, is about 40 minutes away and has a river beach right next to it. Ideal for one of your motorhome trips!

17. A world of glitter glitter!

Swarovski Kristallwelten: The Swarovski Crystal Worlds are one of the most curious visits that can be made near Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol.

In the town of Wattens, hidden between the Tyrolean mountains and guarded by a great green giant, the Halls of Wonders await you. An imaginary world where glass is the protagonist. The tour ends at the largest Swarovski store in the world!

In the outdoor garden, the little ones are the protagonists. There's a hand-shaped hedge maze, a 20-meter-high play tower, and a playground where children follow a circuit as they drop wooden balls into holes.

General admission costs €19, for children it is €6.

18. Capafons and the Gralles Cave

Capafons is a small town located in the mountains of Prades, in Tarragona. Its name comes from the number of fountains that the place has (53) although only one has water all year round: the Fuente de la Llúdriga. At the beginning of the town there is a large open space that serves as a parking lot. From here you can start a lot of routes, but we suggest you go afterwards to the Cueva de les Gralles passing by Les Tosques (small waterfalls that form various pools where you can bathe) and by the Fuente de la Llúdriga (they say it is the source of the river Brugent).

Once in the Cave, it seems to you that it is a Romanesque arch of some church portal, majestic and enormous (about 60 meters high). If it has rained, you will be able to see how a small waterfall descends. Just before entering the town there is an open space (41.2967267, 1.0257357) where there are no problems to park and/or spend the night. There are no services but it is a very quiet area. Highly recommended for one of your motorhome trips!

20. Todtnau fun for children and adults

It is a small town in the black forest in Germany with about 5.000 inhabitants. Perhaps he is well known to the Germans, I don't know, but I realize that no Spaniard mentions him on their routes when he organizes the trip to the Black Forest. The town itself is small but nice to walk around. Nearby the best-known activity is the Todtnau waterfalls but we always forget its most fun part, for example for both children and adults, the Rodelbahn Coaster, which is also the largest in all of Germany. It is about going up in chairlifts although you can also walk up to the top of the mountain where the adrenaline begins.

You will get on a sled which you can control the speed, faster or slower, and you will go down some rails that wind through the mountain. A real pass. In addition, for lovers of mountain biking, you can rent bikes where they will take you up the chairlifts and you will take care of the best, descending with impressive views. It has a paid sleeping area with all services for €10 24h and €3 if you want electricity.

There is also a swimming pool nearby, although it depends on the season you want to go. Although if you are not one to pay in areas, a few kilometers down the mountain, in the next two towns there are totally free AC areas. Also take note of Zell im Wiesental and Schweigmatt, you will be very well here. 47.8323, 7.9557 (lat, lng) N 47° 49′ 56″ E 7° 57′ 20″ (lat lng).

24. Castellar hippy castle

In the province of Cádiz, in the Los Alcornocales Natural Park, there is a small town located inside a medieval castle, called Castellar Viejo or Castillo de Castellar, which would have become a dilapidated place were it not for a chippie community, especially artists and artisans, which settled there and keeps it alive. Today it is one of the few inhabited fortresses in Europe. Currently, it has about 150 inhabitants that give the place a very bohemian air.

Strolling through its narrow streets, for example, is quite an experience, especially if you do it early in the morning when there are no visitors yet. The visit to this unique enclave is complemented by a wonderful hiking route of about 5,5 km. suitable for the whole family and thus allows you to observe the only colony that exists in Europe of monarch butterflies. cycling routes in belgium. Cycling through the water Bokrejik

25. Cycling between waters and above the treetops!

We suggest you ride a bike between the waters and above the trees!

On a route through Flanders, in Belgium, we find places as unusual as these cycle paths in the middle of beautiful natural landscapes.

Take note:

1º set aside a whole day to get to know Bokrijk and dedicate at least one morning or afternoon to doing a bike route through the natural park.

But above all, you must cycle or walk through the Fietsen Door of Bomen de Bokrijk, a unique place, where you will cross a lake through the middle of the water, being able to caress the ducks and swans as you go (if they don't bite you, some of them had bad milk hehehe).

The rest of the day is spent wandering the publicly accessible open-air farm on a 2km marked path, or the botanical garden or open-air museum of Belgian folklore.

2º In Bosland you will find the circuit where you can pedal at the height of the trees of this immense forest. There are more than 400 km of bicycle routes in this forest, well signposted and with paved lanes through a dense forest of tall trees.

Where to park and spend the night in a motorhome: Both Bosland and Bokrijk have parking lots at their entrance where motorhomes and campers can park and spend the night, always without camping (remove elements from the perimeter of the vehicle).

Abandoned town of Escó and Termas de Yesa. The construction of the Yesa reservoir expropriated part of the land of its neighboring towns, forcing its depopulation. In Escó you can park and spend the night just at the beginning of the road to town from the N-240. Coordinates: N 42° 36′ 53.27″ , W -1° 3′ 22.53″. 30. Lithuania and a mountain of crosses

How to describe this place?? Curious, unusual… The truth is that it is impressive!

The Hill of Crosses is a small mountain full of thousands of crosses.

You will discover on your trip through Lithuania in a motorhome that the origin of this ritual of placing crosses, it is said that it could have started between the years 1831 and 1863, after two failed rebellions against Tsarist Russia.
