Rialp, Espot and the Natural Park of Aigüestortes i el Llac de Sant Maurici

Rialp, a perfect motorhome area

Rialp is excellent for motorhomes, boasting a large, free, and fully equipped motorhome area. What's more, it has a swimming area directly on the river, a sports area behind it, and right in front where you can enjoy adventure sports, horse riding, and many other activities for children. The village also has shops and good restaurants.

For these next days, this motorhome area will be our overnight spot.

Espot in motorhome, the doors to the Aigüestortes i Llac de Sant Maurici Natural Park

From Rialp, we'll visit Espot in our motorhome. It's a charming and lively town, where we can't stay overnight in the main parking lot, but we can park there during the day to hike to Estany de Sant Maurici with the kids—a beautiful and highly recommended route. In Espot, you can also stay at one of the many campsites or go up to the ski resort parking lot and stay overnight there without any problem. We've stayed there during the winter ski season, and it's a lovely and peaceful place.

To hike to Estany de Sant Maurici, the waterfall and Estany de la Ratera, or the Amitges Lake and refuge, you can even take a 4x4 taxi for the outbound and/or return journeys. Ask at the Natural Park information point in the center of Espot.

The important thing is that you don't miss visiting one of Catalonia's greatest natural treasures: the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park . A unique national park with more than 26 incredible marked trails.
