Enjoy emerald water pools in: Puyarruego

Puyarruego, or Piarruego in Aragonese, is one of the three villages in the Puértolas Valley (Huesca), along with Escalona and Belsierre , in the central area of ​​the Sobrarbe region. Its population is just 210, making it a true Van Wow micro-village. Puyarruego is a must-see stop on a summer motorhome route through the Pyrenees. It's a village of water, water, and more water—the waters of the Bellós and Yesa rivers.

Due to its location, Puyarruego is a necessary stop when traveling up to Fanlo and the Añisclo Valley , and when returning from the Vio Valley. It is not far from Aínsa.

1,5 km upstream along the Bellós River are some famous springs where the Congosto de las Habitaciones, also known as the Fuente de los Baños, ends . People from the Sobrarbe region used to come here because, they said, the waters had healing properties due to their chloride content.

After the Fuente de los Baños, the Siarra Seca (named after the absence of trees) heads towards Gallisué with the road following a stop called El Mesonet in the Bellós basin. Nearby there is an old road that leads to the Añisclo road, narrow little.

Wherever it is, there are pools of water for bathing, with turquoise and emerald colors, with waterfalls and gorges that refresh you in the summer. You have to go, but at a good time because parking spaces are few and in summer there are plenty of people. 

Therefore, we recommend that if you're visiting Puyarruego in a motorhome, you enjoy its natural pools from a campsite nearby. Camping Valle de Añisclo is a good option. From there, you can hike to the Hermitage of San Úrbez in Fanlo , nestled in the rock, in a cave in the heart of the Añisclo Valley.
