Puyarruego, Piarruego in Aragonés, is one of the 3 towns of Puértolas Valley (Huesca), along with Escalona and Belsierre, in the central area of ​​the Sobrarbe region. Its population is 210, so it is a full-blown Van Woow micro-town. Puyarruego is a mandatory stop on a route through the Pyrenees in summer by motorhome. It is a town of water, water and more water. The waters of the Bellós river and the Yesa river.

Due to its location, Puyarruego is a must when you go up Fanlo and the Añisclo valley, and upon returning from the Vio valley. It is not far from Aínsa.

1,5 km upstream through the Bellós are some famous fountains where the Congosto of the Rooms or Fuente de los Baños. This is where the people from Sobrarbe come from because, they said, the waters here have healing properties due to their chloride content.

After the Fuente de los Baños, the Siarra Seca (named after the absence of trees) heads towards Gallisué with the road following a stop called El Mesonet in the Bellós basin. Nearby there is an old road that leads to the Añisclo road, narrow little.

Wherever it is, there are pools of water for bathing, with turquoise and emerald colors, with waterfalls and gorges that refresh you in the summer. You have to go, but at a good time because parking spaces are few and in summer there are plenty of people. 

For this reason, we recommend that if you go to Puyarruego by motorhome, enjoy its pools from a campsite next to them. The camping Valle de Añisclo is a good one. And from there go hiking to visit the Hermitage of San Úrbez in Fanlo, nestled in the rock, in a cave in the middle of the Añísclo Valley.
