About @porlamismasenda

We are Carolina and Kico. We are Argentines and we have lived in Spain for 14 years. We travel with Hera and Remo, our little dogs and we love to travel. We recently started the YouTube channel and in our videos we show our experiences in a van, motorhome and in whatever mode allows us to visit places.

Something curious about us is that we want to go around the world… like everyone I suppose, but without a return date anywhere.

Chefchaouen by motorhome: a must-see destination in Morocco

We leave from Marbella

We start our route to get to know Chefchaouen by motorhome. Follow us!

We start the trip leaving Marbella with destination to the port of Tarifa to catch the ferry towards Tangier. Likewise, there is also the option of leaving the port of Algeciras.

After an hour of travel and paperwork in the Tangier Customs, finally! we started the long awaited route. We will go south to take the N2 road towards Tetouan.

Enjoying a very picturesque stretch

In about 63 km and 1 hour and 20 minutes of travel just before reaching Tetouan, the road turns to the right and there begins the last but most picturesque section. We have about 65 km of road that can be done in an hour and a half or in three hours, depending on the traffic, road conditions, the weather and the times we stop to take photos or shop at street stalls to buy some souvenir or food. How we like to discover Chefchaouen by motorhome!

Chefchaouen in sight!

We arrived in Chefchaouen and we settled in Camping Azila, located in the upper part of the city. Of course, it is very basic but ideal to rest and also to get there walking to the medina and touring the entire city on foot.

Thus, we recommend getting lost in its streets and falling in love with its people and its colors. To eat We can tell you that the BabSsour Restaurant is the best we found. It is a place run by its owners, in a typical house in the middle of town and with a charm and exquisite attention as everything they serve.

The inhabitants of Chefchaouen paint the walls and floors of the houses several times a year, and even paint the floors of the streets coinciding with the changes of season and the annual celebrations. Thus, they provide freshness and repel insects. A hallmark of the place.
