Legoland (Billund): 5 things to know before you go

5 essential tips on Legoland (Billund) by motorhome or camper

What to know before going to Legoland from Denmark by motorhome or camper?

1. Buy your theme park tickets online and save 50% . You can buy them on the German or Danish Groupon website, or on the official Legoland website for a little more.

2 If you're going to Legoland (Billund) by motorhome, campervan, or car, all the parking lots are paid parking, except for lot number 6 , next to the bus parking lot. This one is free and is only a 10-minute walk from the park entrance.

Legoland Billund is an amusement park for the whole family, no exceptions. At Legoland, half the rides and shows are suitable for all ages, so don't worry about the little ones; they'll have just as much fun. And don't worry about the teenagers either; there are attractions for older kids too. In early July, the queues are never longer than 5 minutes, so you can see everything at a relaxed pace in a single day. Plus, kids can play with Lego while they wait in all the queues. Oh, and you can bring your dog inside the park without any problem, and you don't have to leave it in any kennel or pound!

4 Everything is expensive in Denmark (where the currency is the Danish krone), and even more so at Legoland. Take advantage of the picnic areas inside the park; they're great. Bring your own food and water (there are no water fountains).

5. If you're going to Legoland (Billund) in a motorhome or campervan, there's an area for overnight parking for €15, about a 15-minute walk away, or the Legoland campsite itself, which costs almost €80 per night. Camping can be much cheaper if you get the family package of 2 days' admission + 1 night on the official Legoland (Billund) website. In the end, we went to the campsite because the offer with 2 days' admission was a good deal. A pitch with a dog, for 4 people, cost us €220, including the Legoland admission for 2 days. Remember to buy it online beforehand.

    Hello Kucavanera Family,
Any idea when these parking lots open in the morning?
Do you know if there is a problem with the height? We have a Ford Nugget that is 2,85m tall (the length does not exceed that of a normal car (<5m)).
    Thanks in advance
    Greetings from Cologne
    Dominic
