Fuerteventura by campervan: the wild island
We recommend exploring the island from south to north. Load up your van with food, water, and supplies and head for Cofete beach, where you'll feel like you're at the end of the world.
There you can take the opportunity to visit the Winter house and learn about the somewhat gruesome history of the Nazi presence in the area, before continuing a route that goes up to the north of the island.
Recommended stops
Interesting stops are the beach and sometimes Sotavento lagoon, the town of Betancuria, La Pared beach, the caves of Ajuy, La Solapa beach, a walk through the Peñitas ravine, the climb to one of the volcanoes of the island (there are a lot), the town of Cotillo, the beaches of Corralejo ...
Staying overnight is easy
The best thing about Fuerteventura is the amount of space available everywhere. If you decide to explore the island in a campervan, finding a place to spend the night is very easy. There's usually no problem finding a spot anywhere on the island, except in places where there are specific signs indicating otherwise.
