We left Disney at noon with the intention of being at Chambord Castle by mid-afternoon.

The next day we unloaded the bikes and decided to enjoy the bike lane that we find precious because of all the information we have found, the result is spectacular.

We left the Xirivica parked in the motorhome area and decided to visit the castle by bicycle.
We visited all the gardens (which are huge) by bike enjoying a spectacular day.
A little history about the Château de Chambord
It is considered the most visited "Chateaux" in the entire Loire. In a French Renaissance style, Francis I ordered its construction in 1519 as a hunting lodge but it soon became the most ambitious and expensive project commissioned by a monarch. The high construction costs of this castle forced the monarch to increase taxes on the town in order to cover the expenses incurred in its construction.
Construction ended 30 years later, being interrupted on various occasions by economic and military problems and by the kidnapping of infants in Spain.
Once finished, the monarch spent only 42 days of his reign in it, since he complained that he had drafts and preferred the rooms of Amboise or Blois.
Leonardo Da Vinci, a personal friend of the monarch, also intervened in the construction of this castle, who designed the double helix staircase that we can find in the middle of the castle and which is one of the great curious claims of the castle, where no one was on the staircase .
