Parking and getting to Chaumont
We parked the Xirivica, our motorhome, in the Castle's parking lot. The Castle has 3 different car parks and they accept motorhomes in all, therefore there is no problem to park and visit the Castle, what I think is not allowed is the overnight stay. These car parks are usually closed at night.
A little history about the Château de Chaumont
In our opinion Chaumont is a beautiful castle that defines part of the history of Catherine de Medici and Diana de Poitiers. This Castle was bought by Catherine de Medici in 1550 and made profitable by her after the agricultural exploitation and the tolls on the Loire.
