Motorhome route to Disneyland Paris from Spain: stops and routes combined with Disney

Before we dive into the adventure, let me tell you how to get to Disneyland Paris by motorhome from Spain.

The best option is plan a route that you can enjoy of a little leisure, of various places on the way And of course, if you go with small children, make an entertaining and party trip so as not to spend so many hours on the road.

A tip: Don't travel without travel insurance. Avoid medical co-payments, have a lawyer who specializes in what may happen to you during the trip and avoid bad times due to cancellations or incidents on your route. The travel insurance that so far convinces us most for traveling as a family is Iati Family, Coverage price is ideal for traveling both in Spain, Europe and outside of it. It covers everything on your trip, not just medical topics essentials with a doctor and pediatrician 24 hours a day through the chat of your App. I leave you here a discount that they will give you at the end of requesting the quote.

We, leaving the province of Barcelona, we chose on our two trips to Disney by motorhome to cross the border by La Junquera and we toured the center of France, passing through the Loire Valley until Paris. This is a beautiful journey full of surprises through its charming towns in the Dordogne, Perigord and Loire, in which we take the opportunity to visit charming villages, beautiful castles and enjoy the local French gastronomy.

Si you leave from the north, south or center of Spain the best thing will surely be to go out the irun border and walk the Atlantic coast of France until you enter the Loire Valley and arrive in Paris.

Irun border tip

TIP!: At Lóleo Eventos, Irun border be careful with the overweight of your motorhomeIt is the only place where we have seen that sometimes they stop us and weigh us. You already know that we have to weigh less than 3500 kg and that is complicated in family motorhomes of more than 7 meters... so be careful. The good thing is that they fine you, but they let you circulate, something that doesn't happen in Switzerland, for example, because if you're overweight they put you in the stocks and don't let you go until you reach the correct weight.

Our routes from our trips to Disney by motorhome

Two motorhome routes to Disneyland Paris that we have done combined downhill in our two experiences are the following: the route through the magical French Brittany in motorhome and the combined Brittany and Normandy by motorhome downhill, as we did on our first trip to Disney in a motorhome.

On the other hand, the route of our trip to Diseny in a motorhome at Christmas What we did on another occasion was a route that we stopped on the way out to take a short route through the Alps in a motorhome, ideal for those who like skiing and snow with a stop in the pre-alps of La Bonita Annecy in motorhome, the so-called French Venice of the French Alps.

And if you want more amusement parks on this route, don't miss Futuroscope in motorhome that falls on you too.

Where to sleep in a motorhome at Disneyland Paris

Arrive at Disneyland Paris in a motorhome is just the beginning of the fun. Now, let's talk about where to park and sleep. You have several options to spend the night with your motorhome near the park.

Disneyland Paris motorhome area

One of the best options is to stay in the motorhome area located inside Disney, next to the car and bus parking lots. It is undoubtedly the option that has the best location and is most practical It is to lose little time in transfers between your house on wheels and the entrance to Disney.

Here are some details you should know about the area:

Price and payment of the Disneyland Paris motorhome area

The price per day is 40 euros each day of stay (not for 24 hours). Payment is made upon arrival for that day and first thing in the morning for each of the other days.

TIP: arrive in the morning, and not at night, first thing in the morning and save 40 €uros.

Disneyland Paris motorhome area services

The motorhome area has basic services drinking water and gray water emptying. But there is no emptying of sewage, although the poorest people do it in the gray ones and even clean the poti at the clean water tap... it's filthy, believe me!

To carry out sewage services (chemical toilet) you can do it at the gas station that is right at the Disney exit, you should not even leave the parking barrier From Disney, it is right at the entrance/exit.

Finally, you should know that the Disney motorhome area has a basic building with showers and toilets, where you also have plugs with electricity. If you need to carry something or dry your hair, you can do it in the bathrooms.

At least using these bathrooms and showers, you will not need to empty and fill water in your stay at Disney in a motorhome and you will avoid the filthiness of the services that it has for motorhomes.

Our personal opinion on the motorhome area of Disney Paris

In our experience, sleeping in the RV park at Disneyland Paris on the one hand is very convenient, but, on the other hand, neither pretty nor cheap, and less in proportion to the services that they give you from a simple parking lot without good services for motorhomes and with such basic bathrooms.

Really, the only positive thing to say about the Disneyland Paris motorhome area is that being at the gates of Disney allowed us to save time and fatigue of comings and goings. Although if you expect proximity, for example, coming and going for meals or breaks, think that the parking lot is not so close to the attractions themselves, so you probably won't take advantage of the area in that sense.

Another thing you should know is that not because you are inside the Disney compound does you experience a magical atmosphere, rather the contrary, you are in a simple cement parking lot with minimal services at the cost of a campsite but without services or amenities or landscapes of a camping.

The only good thing is that you will surely meet other families who will have the same opinion and you will have a chat room to criticize Disney hehehe.

Surrounding campsites to go to Disney by motorhome

If you prefer a cheaper option or one with better services for your motorhome or camper, or you can't find a place in the Disney motorhome area, you have the possibility of spending the night in nearby campsites. Here we leave you some:

Country Park Campsite: Large campsite with swimming pools and huge inflatable structures to entertain the children. The staff is smiling and attentive. 15 minutes from Disneyland by bus, which passes at the end of the street and leaves you right at the entrance of the park. Website: https://www.countrypark.paris/:

.Camping Jablines: 15 minutes from Disney by bus too, without swimming pools but in the middle of a leisure complex with a lake with a beach for bathing. Web: https://www.camping-jablines.com/

Remember that it is always advisable to make a reservation in advance to ensure a place and that sometimes in summer and high season they may ask you for a minimum number of nights.

How many days to go to Disneyland Paris by motorhome?

The duration of your visit to Disneyland Paris will depend on your preferences and the time you have available. Us We recommend you dedicate at least 2 days to Disney (one day for each park, remember there are 2 parks in one) and 1 to visit Paris since you are an hour away from there and with bus and a cruise you can see Paris from Disney easily.

With three days, you will have the opportunity to explore the two main theme parks well, That would be ideal, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, although because of the lines, surely if you go in high season or on weekends you won't be able to get on everything you want. But staying one more day to wait in more lines may overwhelm you like it did us.

Disneyland Paris by motorhome cheap tickets

Now, let's talk about tickets to Disneyland Paris. It is important to plan ahead and purchase your tickets before your visit to avoid long lines at the Disney entrance. Here I present some options and useful tips about Disney tickets so that they are as cheap as possible.

More affordable prices and options for Disney tickets

Disneyland Paris offers different types of tickets, such as the 1-day, 2-day, 3- or 4-day passes for both Disney parks and Studios. The prices vary depending on the length of your stay and age of visitors.

TIP: I recommend you buy tickets in advance online at Disney's official website There is no other cheaper website and buying them in advance on their website is a guarantee of the best price!

Discover the magic of Disneyland Paris with affordable options that fit your schedule. For the complete experience, the 2-Park ticket is the perfect option, allowing you to explore both Disneyland Park and the exciting Marvel Avengers Campus at Walt Disney Studios Park.

The entry of 4 days for both parks. Disney and Studios, is the one that saves the most on the cost of the ticket/day.

Admission starts at 59 euros, offering access to both thematic areas for 1 day. For those who want to extend their enchanting experience, the 2-day pass is the most popular choice, starting from 67 euros and the 4-day pass is €81 for adults, although depending on the day it is more expensive if you go in high season.

So, one more piece of advice you see outside of high seasons such as July, August or Christmas and you will save money on your tickets, they will cost you cheaper.

So, make your dreams come true at Disneyland Paris but for cheaper!

Annual Pass suspended until further notice

Years ago, the best option for those planning to spend 3 or more days in the park was to purchase the annual pass, which offered additional benefits and unlimited access for a year for the price of 4 days. However, due to current circumstances of which we are unaware, the annual pass has been suspended until further notice and it is no longer possible to do so. I suggest you keep an eye on the updates on the official Disneyland Paris website to find out about this option. Eurodisney in a motorhome tips and tricks that you should know

Now, let's move on to some tips and tricks to help you make the most of your visit to Disneyland Paris by motorhome:

Cart and chain to tie it down

Take a cart for the little ones and a chain to tie it up. Disneyland Paris is a place full of emotions and it is easy for children to get excited and want to run. That will make them very tired very quickly, so the cart is a MUST. Keeping your cart safe will give you peace of mind and prevent it from being stolen. Because yes, they steal cars at Disney! Two of the rentals were stolen from us, we tied the third with the bike chain and out of trouble.

Take your notebook and pen for character autographs and save

To maximize the magic at Disneyland Paris by motorhome while saving money, take a nice notebook and a pen from home. At Disney it can cost you 20 euros each, so the savings will be significant.

Encourage your children to ask their favorite Disney characters for autographs. This unique experience will provide you with unforgettable memories. Also, reserve a space in your notebook to paste the photos next to the autographs, so when you return home it will be time to print the photos and remember the beautiful trip you had. This notebook will become a treasure of emotions and memories that will last beyond the trip, capturing the magical essence of Disneyland and creating a precious album of moments shared with the most beloved characters. Get ready for an adventure full of surprises and unforgettable memories!

Eat cheap at Disneyland Paris

If you are looking for cheap options to eat, I recommend taking tupperware with food prepared and on a bench eat it or use the Le Village McDonald's, which is located outside the park in the shopping area, which is the cheapest option in all of Disney. This is an excellent alternative to save money and satisfy the appetite of the whole family where Disney characters also usually go.

anti-queue strategy

The queues at the attractions can be long, especially in high season or on weekends, so be patient. Download the disney app, which will give you real-time information about waiting times and allow you to take advantage of the service Free FastPass They have some of the attractions to reduce the wait time at some attractions. Furthermore, I recommend that you take advantage early opening hours and late opening hours closure, as well as rainy days, since there are usually fewer visitors on those occasions.

Lastly, do the reverse tour, run as you enter the end of the park and run backwards.

Photo pass yes or no

Is Photopass worth it? If you want to have professional photographic memories of your visit, Photopass can be a good choice. Do not forget book your meetings with the characters in advance to ensure you have enough time to enjoy these unique experiences. In the park you will see the app lineberty to reserve photos when purchasing the photopass.

But if you want to save some money, don't worry, take the photo with your mobile phone, the characters' helpers will make you happy.

The worst thing about Disney… because not everything is wonderful…

  1. Prepare for Crowds: Even on seemingly calm days like January 1st, Disneyland Paris is usually packed with people, especially in summer or Christmas. Cultivate patience before you go.
  2. Protect your Carts: Theft is a real possibility in the park. Use chains or consider renting to avoid losses.
  3. Infinite Queues: Don't underestimate the queues, even at the princess pavilion in the morning. Get up early and take advantage of the off-peak hours, as queues can reach up to 120 minutes at midday.
  4. Annual Pass Facts: Currently, the annual pass does not exist and will not exist, it was not profitable for them.
  5. Unexpected Expenses: In addition to the entrance fee, be prepared for unexpected expenses at the park's shops and restaurants.
  6. Lineberty Hoax: The Lineberty app may not guarantee no-wait encounters with Disney characters, even by booking early. Use multiple phones and update the app to maximize the possibilities.
  7. Affordable Food Options: Contrary to common belief, there are affordable food options, such as a McDonald's in Le Village.
  8. Unexpected Gifts: Although it may be thought that at Disney they don't give anything away, sometimes they surprise with badges, letters or other gifts from some characters.
  9. Reality Behind the Magic: Enjoying Disneyland isn't always pure magic. Prepare for lines, tears, rain, extreme cold or heat. Although the experience has its challenges, you can still enjoy the magic of Disney.
  10. Beware of Attractions: Despite Disney's apparent innocence, some attractions can be intense for little ones. Be careful with those that could be cruel. Although, sometimes, the little ones surprise with their bravery and enjoy it more than the older ones. Traveling to Disneyland in a motorhome with children is an adventure!

Visit Paris from Disney by motorhome

If you have extra time during your visit to Disneyland Paris, I recommend you take the opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Paris for at least one day.

One advantage of traveling by motorhome is that you can enjoy the freedom of moving around without having to change accommodation. You can continue parked in the area or campsite with your motorhome and use public transport from there to explore the city.

TIP: The option that we recommend, which is the most practical, is that of a bus that picks you up from the Disney door and takes you to the center of Paris, without having to take the train and subway transfers. Furthermore, the The price is great because the ticket includes a cruise on the Seine!

This option is the one that most reduces time and tiredness of the little ones. The ideal thing to see Paris with small children. You see Notre Dame and the main part of Paris from the boat, comfortably seated and with an audio guide in Spanish. For us, this cruise was ideal so that our children did not get tired and enjoyed Paris.

He definitely recommends this option to visit Paris in one day.
