Is it safe to travel to Namibia?

One of the questions we were asked most often before traveling was precisely this: Is it safe to travel independently in Namibia? We also had doubts before landing in Windhoek and starting our 4x4 adventure, especially traveling with our two children and exploring some of the most remote areas of the country.

After 24 days, over 5.000 kilometers traveled, and many experiences, we can tell you that Namibia struck us as one of the safest countries in Africa for independent travel. However, we also discovered some significant risks that are worth being aware of before embarking on your journey, especially those related to driving, long distances, wildlife, health, and certain situations that can arise in very isolated areas.

👉 That's precisely why we're preparing a complete guide on whether it's safe to travel to Namibia , where we'll share our real experience, the scares we had during the trip, the mistakes we made, the safest areas of the country, the risks we encountered on the road, tips for traveling with children, vaccinations, malaria, travel insurance, and everything we wish we had known before starting this adventure.

It will be available very soon.
