What to see in Camprodon around its Valley

What to do and what to see in Camprodon

The Camprodon Valley is a mandatory stop whenever we go to the mountains, we really like the area and especially Camprodon and its sausages.

In the Valley both in summer and winter you can do many activities.

Some that we have made and that we recommend are the following.

Discover what to see in Camprodon and its surroundings in the Valley

Discover what to see in Camprodon visiting its town and old town

Visit Camprodon, the town is small but its Romanesque bridge is spectacular. You will find the route of the sources, a very cool route along the river. You cannot leave Camprodon without buying sausage and the @birba cookies they make in the valley.

Molló Parc with children

We visited the Mollo Park, (N 42 ° 21'18.1008 ”E 2 ° 24'22.5108”) an animal park, where we can find animals, most of them that live in the Pyrenees: bears, marmots, lynxes, wolves, fallow deer, deer ...

Discover Setcases and Vallter 2000
  • Also we visited setcases (N 42 ° 22'29.6004 ”E 2 ° 18'7.369201”), where in addition to visiting the town, we went to bathe at the well-known "Little Beach of Setcases." A space in front of the town where you can bathe in the river, although it was a bit, quite cold!
  • Vallter 2000, A ski resort in summer? (N 42 ° 25'34.9572 ”E 2 ° 15'53.388”) Well yes, we have discovered that we like the ski resorts in summer, a lot! They are quiet places to spend the night and where we can do cool routes. In Vallter we highly recommend making the Olla de Vallter: Gra de Fajol small, Gra de Fajol, Bastiments, Bacivers de Prats and Pico de la Mujer. A spectacular and highly recommended route (about 14km with 1200m of positive elevation gain)!

A recommendation for Vallter 2000 with children

And what can children do? Well we can visit by going up with the chairlift the source of the river Ter, walking excursion to @refugi_ulldeter, bathing in the river in magical corners and especially discovering marmots. It has been the place where we have seen and heard the most marmots.

Where to park and spend the night in Camprodon in a motorhome or campervan

To spend the night we like to go to the motorhome area above the bridge (N 42 ° 18'44.6436 «E 2 ° 21'47.052»), a step away from the town center and a quiet place, equipped and with services for motorhomes.

This area is shared with a car park and it is important to never park horizontally, but to get a fine. Even if it comes out on battery it will be fine.
