Every year we dress up and enjoy Carnival as a family. This year due to Covid will surely be a rare and complicated year, without parades or parades. Everything and that, at home we have decided to dress up.
The idea of making an easy, fast and inexpensive costume on paper to be at home, came from the challenge of the Newbie mommy, who from his blog challenged us to make an easy costume out of crepe paper or also called tissue paper or crepe.

Materials for the homemade jellyfish costume
- An umbrella
- Sheets of tissue paper, crepe or crepe. I used 3 sheets of 50 x 66 cm for a children's umbrella
- Pinocchio paper ribbons or if you have serpentine type
- Zeal
- 2 large adhesive eyes, although these can be painted with a paper or cardboard if you want.

The step by step of this costume for children easy to make for Carnival
Step 1: LINEN THE UMBRELLA WITH THE TISSUE OR CREPE PAPER
First, take the umbrella, open it and with the tissue paper as wide as possible, line it by simply sticking it with tape on the umbrella.
Tricks:
-It's better if the umbrella is transparent (nothing happens that has little drawings) or of a single color
-It's better if your tissue paper is a strong color, so that it covers the umbrella and does not light up
Step 2: CUT THE STRIPS OF PINOCHO PAPER OR SERPENTINE AND GLUE THEM WITH ZEAL
Cut the lengths you want from the streamer or pinocchio paper strips. I made different sizes, so that it will be more natural like the legs of jellyfish.
Then tape them to the inside base of the umbrella.
Step 3: GLUE YOUR EYES AND READY: HOMEMADE Jellyfish COSTUME IN LESS THAN 15 MINUTES ACHIEVED
Glue the adhesive eyes to your umbrella. If you do not have this type of eyes that can be bought in Chinese bazaars or online for crafts, you can make your eyes by drawing them on paper and gluing them with a little glue or tape.
