León is a province that has a lot to offer. Without a doubt, he knows how to combine the perfect ABC of a trip in a caravan, motorhome or camper van. The places that can be visited are super diverse (nature, museums, castles, cities full of activities ...) and they are not separated from each other by many hours of driving. The gastronomy is fantastic, being popularly known for its neighborhoods where you can get lost for tapas and delight the palate. Another point in favor of León, you can enjoy a very quiet overnight in a good number of locations created for that purpose.
We do it often and we love it
Within the province of León we really enjoy a route that we do often. Regardless of the point of origin, the following route includes pure nature what to see in El Bierzo, the medieval culture of Ponferrada, the ancient city of Astorga and all the history that accumulates in its years of life, the city of León created from a military camp and the Regional Park of the Mountain of Riaño and Mampodre, since it is not You would know the province of León 100% if you don't visit its monumental mountains.
Las Médulas: starting point
We like to start this route through Las Médulas, because not every day you can see some old gold mines exploited by Romans, in a landscape that is practically unique in Spain. The whole Bierzo has a touch of mystery, with routes leading to waterfalls that look like enchanted forests like Compludo. On the Camino de Santiago

Riaño
After the frenzy of a city, we love to relax in nature again, and therefore we drive less than 1 hour and a half to Riaño, to finish our route through León in a caravan, motorhome or camper van surrounded by nature, mountains, and in this case, its famous reservoir. In addition, it does not hurt to "burn" so much gastronomic visit by making one of the most famous routes in this area to Pico Gilbo.
Picos de Europa
If we do not get close to Riaño, you cannot miss out on visiting Maraña and its Mampodre Circus route, visiting the Mountain Cathedral or Lois Church and ending the route with a special dinner from our caravan, motorhome or camper van in the Pan Recreational Area. de Rueda, which will reward us with views from our window to the Picos de Europa.
