To start ... 3 maxims about Es Mercadal in a motorhome

1 Be responsible in a motorhome: the island is small, do not overcrowd, you see in low season

Before going to Menorca by motorhome you should know that it is a very very small island, so much so that in an hour by motorhome you travel it from end to end. That and the fact that the parking spaces are very small makes the best time to go to Menorca by motorhome is always out of high season, that is, outside of July and August whenever you want.

If you go in July and August in a motorhome, a recommendation: stay in one of the two campsites on the island and get around by motorcycle or in a small rental car.

Under no circumstances do you camp, be responsible, camping is totally prohibited on the island

Camping is prohibited in all of Spain, but Menorca is also a UNESCO Biosphere Heritage Site, for which all the more reason we must be the most respectful of the environment.

We know that the vigilance by the civil guard on the island is maximum before the encampments and that they are fined 200 euros for it because of what colleagues from the island have told us. So, do not camp and do not spend the night in the forbidden places.

REMEMBER, CAMPING IS OUTSTANDING THE PERIMETER OF YOUR VEHICLE (take out table and chairs, awning, open windows ...).

Benibequer in motorhome what to see and do

You have to see Binibèquer Vell!

A white town with a Mediterranean postcard ... but Did you know that it is neither a town in itself nor a population of great tradition and ancestral histories?

Be amazed!

It is a construction project built in 1964, inspired by the typical fishing villages, made up of 165 houses that recreate the fishermen's houses in the area with the smallest detail.

Today it is mostly a tourist apartment complex within an urbanization. We were surprised, since everyone says it is beautiful and it really is, but it is also tiny and overmassed.

On your trip to Menorca by motorhome you will surely come across Benibequer Vell, so enjoy its buildings completely painted in white looking out onto the street with balconies and doors full of charm. The winding cobbled streets of the place, narrow and labertintic, are a strong attraction for tourists. You will surely love them.

From the white to the blue of the sea. Don't miss its surrounding coves!
