Bureta and her enchanted forest, an initiative of a mother and an association against depopulation

The Burosque de Bureta, enchanted forest, in Zaragoza, Spain, is a initiative created, first of all, for a village mother. A tooth fell out of her daughter and this crafty mother made a little house for the tooth fairy that amazed both his daughter and neighbors.

From there, to the precious initiative and current idea, the Bureteandoandoando association. Their objective: to fight against their increasing depopulation and make Bureta a place with tourist attractions and full of life. Today Bureta is looking for both families who want to live in their town and to be a family tourist town.

What is and where is the Enchanted Forest Bureta Bureta

The Bureta Bureta or Enchanted Forest Bureta, as some call it, is located 40 minutes from Zaragoza and is inhabited by fairies, goblins, witches and magical animals. In Bureta, the enchanted forest is like a fairy tale that makes visitors feel as if they were in a magical world.

Our visit to Bureta, enchanted forest, but also much more!

In our last family trip on the way to Navarre and after seeing Zaragoza, we were able to discover this beautiful town full of surprises that captivated us. Without a doubt, you cannot miss the opportunity to see it and experience it.

one of our followers, Montse, warned us that Burette itself was a surprise and we had to go. We did so and we really reaffirm that Bureta is a precious surprise on any route through the north of Spain that you do.

The main reason was to see the Bureta de Bureta, the enchanted forest, which surely our kids would love it. But we must say that Burette is much more than that. Now we tell you everything.

Park in Bureta

Our visit to Bureta begins by parking in its main car park, at the entrance of the town just behind its giant letters that says BURETA.

Do not access the nucleus with the car, the streets are narrow and complicated. This is a very, very large parking lot and it's dirt, but it's enough.

If you travel in camper or motorhome It is perfect for spending one night, but precisely because of how small the town is and the parking lot, we advise you to 24 hours maximum Leave room for other vehicles.

On the way to Burosque de Bureta, enchanted forest

First of all, after parking, we prepare to go see the Burosque. It is early and we are the only ones who walk through the town, together with some woman who comes to look for bread and kindly greet us. You begin to perceive that this town is inhabited by wonderful peopleIt is one of those things that is noticed with the looks and greetings of its people.

As we entered the town we began to see decorations at almost all entrances of the houses. All homemade, recycled and, in sight, made with love. Little goblins, fairies, gnomes on logs awaited us from the doors of the Bureta houses.

We continue the visit to the Burosque around the stream, the Luchán Park

We turn around and go to the stream, we cross the bridge and there we find the other section of the Burosque de Bureta enchanted forest on the right, the one with the luchan park. A later area than the original that has been expanded more recently.

To the left of the bridge, we also find a small corner with a vertical garden, called the violet corner, beautiful.

At this point we have just toured the Burosque, in the section that for our way of seeing more beautiful. Next stream with water and among the fallen leaves of winter, the corner is really magical and worthy of an enchanted forest.

Facing the stream we also see the impressive Palace of the Counts of Bureta, a beautiful rear view.

The trail may seem small to some, but after all, it's not bad at all!

Remember that access is free, free and behind it there is a lot of artistic craft work from a lot of people. You have to appreciate it and a lot, because really, it's precious.

Del Burosque we will visit the old Bureta wineries

Just after leaving the Burosque in the Parque Luchán area, we can go down to the left and we will see old wineries buried in a mountain with their protruding chimneys. Some we see that are totally abandoned, we must be careful. Others are still in use.

Just when we were exploring them, Bureta finished us off with surprises. Suddenly, Aragonese jotas begin to sound at full volume. Our wide-eyed, surprised laughs shot up. The side of the people Its mayor after the jota, rigorously left to sound whole, announces that an item of clothing has been lost in Parque Luchán. What a coincidence, we saw it! Let's go look for it, but someone had already taken it, so we were left without visiting the Bureta Town Hall, it would surely have been another brutal experience.

From the mountain of small wineries, we continue for a walk. You can follow the path that follows and you can visit other wineries between beautiful fields until you reach a reservoir about 3 km away. From the City Council tourism website, You can see how to access and the originality of this Albarquete system reservoir of Roman and Islamic origin.

Before leaving we visited the Palace of the Counts of Bureta

Before leaving we decided to visit the Palace of the Counts of Bureta. They have recommended us to go in to do their guided tour and then stay for lunch since it has a restaurant.

Our surprise when we go to the entrance is that it is closed, everything and it is Saturday.

We see the sign that to do the guided tour we can call a cell phone and a boy who passes by tells us to call that without a problem they will open for us in a short time and we will do the guided tour. Our idea was to do the guided tour and eat there, but since the restaurant is closed and our little ones don't really want to visit the Palace, we decided not to call. Then, notice, that we regret not having done it. Everyone tells us that the interior of the Palace is beautifully preserved.

The village store, the last essential stop in Bureta

We decided, before leaving, to go to the village store. We have seen the bakery and we want to buy homemade sweets from the town, the kind that we are crazy about, and other things.

La girl from the store, super friendly, tells us everything about our doubts about Burette. He tells us the history of the Burosque, explains that they have just closed the Palace of the Counts of Bureta and that they are looking for new people to run the Palace restaurant.

We hope that now that you are reading this, they have it open and you can enjoy it, the site must be beautiful.

In the store, a lady from the town recommends the star purchases from the neighbors. They do not fail, the recommendations of a neighbor are always 10. The Brutal chocolate chip cupcakes, yummy oil muffins and donuts not bad.

We said goodbye to Bureta enchanted forest and found that much more!

After a good purchase, now we say goodbye to Burette in love with her and wanting to return soon to visit his Palace of the Counts and eat in it.

We hope to return and soon! Thank you Bureta, thank you for your generosity and hospitality, neighbors of Bureta!

And you, don't miss Enchanted Forest Burette and much more!
