Within our last getaway through France in a motorhome, during the Pilar bridge, we have visited the French Pyrenees on its side of the Ariegeoise Pyrenees. A visit to Ariege with children to its most mountainous part. An area full of hot springs in France.

The waters of these natural thermal pools in the south of France are hot all year round and are located in an incredible place in the middle of the French Pyrenees.
One of the most symbolic hot spring pools in the city is le Bassin des Ladres, in front of an old hospital for lepers that has a pond at the entrance to the thermal waters where you can put your feet. It is not uncommon for visitors to the town to refresh their tired feet on it after a long walk or in the attached hot springs of sulfur .

Ax 3 Domaines a winter and summer ski resort

It has three areas with varied characteristics: Bonascre (1400/2000 m), an ideal area to discover the pleasures of skiing safely; El Bolsón (1900/2300 m), which offers the best skiing and Campels (1700/2400 m), with its incredible open spaces. The slopes are accessible with a cable car that takes 10 minutes from the village of Ax-les-Thermes.
Not only will you be able to ski as in few places or do trails with snowshoes, but there are also multiple adventure activities in winter and summer.
It is worth going up to these slopes, whatever time it is to fall in love with its landscape.

Ax les Thermes in a motorhome is easy since we find a motorhome payment area for about € 12 per day and a parking lot for motorhomes.
In low season also behind the river there are some areas that are not forbidden to motorhomes. Although be careful, there are signs prohibiting motorhomes in some parking areas near the center.
