Congost de Collegats by motorhome, the origin of Gaudí's Sagrada Familia

We enjoyed our first day of traveling in the Pyrenees by motorhome in one of our favorite areas of the Lleida Pyrenees. And the first stop is our magical and secret bathing place in the Collegats Congost. 

Now it will no longer be secret, but I hope you take care of it as well as we do and that when it returns it will be the same as always. I entrust it to you.

This special bathing area is found by parking in the Les Morreres car park on National Highway 260, near Gerry of the Salt. Once parked there, where there is a picnic area and good shadows, you must follow the path of the old road that passes by the river through the Congost de Collegats. Walk until you find a plaque in memory of Jacint Verdaguer, there ahead a narrow path between rocks goes down to a tiny beach on the river and from there you have this landscape spectacle.

You will recognize it for a reason. What do you think it looks like? Look at the photo, think ... Bingo! To the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona! And it is that Gaudí was inspired by l'Argentería de Collegats, right here, and thanks to Verdaguer's poem.

Gerri de la Sal by camper, the culture of Sal de Lleida

Apart from the Congost de Collegats, the next stop is Gerry of the Salt. It is a very nice small town with a salt museum, a beautiful Hermitage and a bathing area under a Romanesque bridge with a very cool beach bar. With a camper it is easy to park but with a motorhome you can only do it at the beginning or end of the town, on the sides of the road. The museum is very good, it includes a visit to the salt flats and they explain the process very well.

And after a refreshing swim and seeing the Gerri de la Sal museum, we continued our journey and stopped at Spell. 

Sort by motorhome, adventure sports and the Golden Witch

Apart from being able to do adventure sports, in Sort you can stock up on food and some purchases. And of course, you cannot leave Sort without buying the Bruixa D'Or lottery, it has never touched us, but as a tradition we always end up buying.

In Sort you can park well at the exit of the town or before around the river.
