1 Be responsible in a motorhome or camper: do not overcrowd tourist micro-towns that do not have the capacity or resources to host us
Before going to La Cerdanya by motorhome, you should know that it has been a very crowded place in recent years, especially in summer or winter around the ski slopes. That and the fact that the parking spaces are sometimes very small makes the best time to go to La Cerdanya by motorhome is always out of high season, that is, outside of July and August, which is when the most tourist spots are overcrowded, especially.
If you go in July and August in a motorhome, a recommendation: always stay in campsites or motorhome areas.
2 Under no circumstances do you camp, be responsible, free camping is totally prohibited and more within natural parks as there are throughout this area
Camping is prohibited in all of Spain, but Cerdanya also has protected natural areas, for which all the more reason we must be the most respectful of the environment.
We know that the vigilance by local police and rural agents is maximum before the encampments and that they are fined 200 euros for it. So, do not camp and do not spend the night in the forbidden places.
REMEMBER, CAMPING IS OUTSTANDING THE PERIMETER OF YOUR VEHICLE (taking out a table and chairs, awning, opening windows, spending more than 72 hours in the same place ...). For camping you can go to private areas or campsites.

Martinet in a motorhome what to see and do
Martinet is one of the districts of Montellà i Martinet, a municipality with different aggregates of less than 600 inhabitants in total. A micro-town located in the Catalan Baja Cerdanya, near Alt Urgell and Berguedà. At the foot of the Serra del Cadí.
In Martinet we can find different great plans to enjoy this very accessible place for motorhomes and campers.
Route to the bunker park
A very easy 5 km route to and from the Martinet motorhome area. With practically no unevenness and that runs along the left side of the Segre River, overlapping to a great extent with the Otter educational trail.
When you arrive at the Bunker Park you have the interpretive and reception center on the right hand side. This is where the guided tours of the bunkers start, the only way to visit the bunkers inside with the help of a good guide and explanations.
This guided tour leaves every Saturday and Sunday from there at 12 noon and has a cost of € 8 per person, and in summer there are more days and guided tours. They give you a safety helmet and it lasts about an hour and a half.
If not, you can freely access the surface of the bunkers.
We recommend doing the guided tour, as it is much more illustrative and educational. Of course, reserve it in advance, places run out quickly. You can book here your tickets.

Route through the educational trail of the otter
Very easy route that starts in front of the motorhome area, without unevenness and 2,8 km round trip. It is done by following the route marked "Itinerary of the Nurtria", which follows the course of the Segre, the river that passes through Martinet. The itinerary is within the Segre-Prullans Nature Reserve, created precisely to shelter the few otters that remained in La Cerdanya.
Throughout the route you will find explanatory panels about the otter and also about the vegetation around the river. Very interesting to do with children and very well signposted.
Finally, on this route, we recommend that you change the route and visit the Casa del Riu de Martinet, right in front of the Interpretation Center of the Bunker Park, in the Cabiscol area. An interpretation center on river systems located today in a former fish farm.
A small museum that hosts very interesting exhibitions and workshops for young and old alike. In winter, call before, as it is normally closed.
Strolling around the Segre river
A good plan is always to get lost on the roads. And the river has several, do not miss it.

Martinet is a good place to go with children and have a good time in one of its parks, before or after a good homemade meal. Martinet has 5 or 6 restaurants all good to enjoy the gastronomy of La Cerdanya. Do not miss it.

Martinet has a great municipal free motorhome area. It has all the emptying and filling services. And it also has a toilet with a shower and a sink to wash the dishes, although the latter services are usually not available in winter due to frost.
