Rotselaar and its lake
Near Leuven, just 15 minutes by car, there is a haven of peace and nature: Rotselaar and its lake with a beach and many cycling routes.
On a route through Belgium in a motorhome, we discover Flanders and specifically its cities, towns, natural parks and most charming castles. We also discovered Belgium with children, with our children, and with our dog Max, a family trip that we will always remember.

Rotselaar lake: what to see and do
We recommend that you set aside a morning or afternoon to walk, swim, have a picnic and cycle through Rotselaar.
Rotselaar lake allows you to do many activities in summer. The first bathe on the lake beach. A beach where you must know that access is paid. € 5 if you are not from the town. And now with covid it is restricted to only the local population.
But not only is Lake Rotselaar a beach, you can rent a canoe, kayak or boat, learn windsurfing at your school y take a walk near the lake. Or you can make a bike route around the lake, where there are different trails. Or you can just make a picnic in one of its small piers and contemplate their ducks and birds.

If you go by motorhome or campervan Rotselaar has a free motorhome area
2 minutes from the entrance to the beach of Lake Rotselaar, next to a large playground, just behind the restaurant and gym, Rotselaar has a free campervan area with all services. Even electricity only for 1 euro.
It is free but you must register your entry at the gym reception. You simply give them your data and they give you a paper that you must place on your windshield. And to enjoy this magnificent place.
