1 La Salut (Health in Spanish) of Terrades belongs to the Terrades micro-village. A municipality of scarce 200 inhabitants, 12 km from Figueres. An especially agricultural and branch municipality. Where the cherry tree stands out in its landscape.
La Fair of the Cirera, the first weekend of June, without a doubt, is one of the great attractions of Terrades along with the Sanctuary of La Salut, the Hermitage of Santa Magdalena and the Castle of Palau Surroca (private).
It is undoubtedly a micro-municipality worth visiting by motorhome or camper. Strolling through its streets with its reddish country-style stone houses or among its cherry fields is a joy that gives peace to the soul. You can see vineyards of the best Denomination of Origin wines from l'Empordà and even on clear days Cap de Creus and the sea.
The best thing of all is that with these incredible views and in a good shade you can do a barbecue and a good picnic, next to the Salut fountain.

3 What to see and do in the Salut de Terrades? In the Salut de Terrades, you will discover the appeal of the most rural and natural interior of the Alt Empordà. A place to enjoy nature, good views of the Plain of Empordà, tranquility and spirituality too.
What you should not miss is the Sanctuary of La Salut. With more than 300 years, it is a beautiful place, full of peace.
There is a mythical route in the area, the path to Santa Magdalena, a small and beautiful hermitage perched on top of the rocky mountain. A beautiful path, entertaining and with unbeatable views.
And if what you like is to do activities, you're lucky. In the Salut de Terrades you will also find to do horseback riding or ponies. 15 minutes on a pony is € 5 or 1 hour horseback riding € 22. It is a large car park in the middle of nature where you can access the Sanctuary, picnic area, hostel, chicken stall at Ast, horses and start of the route to Santa Magdalena.
The road is narrow like all the rural ones, but there is no difficulty and it is paved. The place is beautiful and well worth it.
But above all, with strong tramontana streaks we strongly advise against going up there.
