@marcopolotik is made up of Leire and Aritz, who travel in a campervan from Gipuzkoa. Before embarking on their campervan journey, they traveled using their tent, and since 2018 they've been traveling with their Marco Polo. Their Instagram profile is @marcopolotik . The suffix “tik” in Basque means “from,” a clear reference to the theme of their profile, where they share the places they visit and experience from their Marco Polo.

Do not miss our route through the Ibon de Piedrafita de Jaca and through the Tena Valley zip line, the longest zip line in Spain and Europe that is located in the province of Huesca.
DAY 1: We start the route: Sallent de Gállego by camper
Our suggested getaway to the Piedrafita de Jaca lake and the Tena Valley zip line begins in the Aragonese Pyrenees. Specifically, in the town of Sallent de Gállego , located in the Tena Valley, on the shores of the Lanuza Reservoir and belonging to the Alto Gállego region.
We arrive on Friday night and go straight to the parking lot next to the Power Station and the Roman Bridge.
The parking area is the Sallent de Gallego motorhome area and is equipped for overnight stays for motorhomes and campervans. It has water filling stations, public restrooms, and some electrical hookups.

Day 2: Ibón de Piedrafita de Jaca, Formigal-Panticosa, Portalet and La Sarra.
Jaca Piedrafita Ibon
The next day we got up a little early so we could do the excursion to the Ibón de Piedrafita de Jaca and enjoy the route with fewer people.
It's a 20-30 minute walk to the Lacuniacha Wildlife Park parking lot (a great option, especially for families with children). The route starts from here.

This route runs along the easily accessible forest track, along which we find different shortcuts to shorten the distance, but it requires crossing the forest following the course of the river.
It is an easy route, with little elevation gain and a distance of about 7km (round trip) which varies depending on the shortcuts we have mentioned.
Upon arriving at the Ibon de Piedrafita de Jaca you can enjoy magnificent views before starting the return to the parking lot.
For those who want to continue a little further, we recommend going all the way to the famous Piedrafita Arch.
Gastronomy in Sallent de Gallego
At the end of the route we return to the town of Sallent de Gállego where we find a varied gastronomic offer and later stroll through this beautiful town.
Formigal and Portalet with great views
In winter and with snow, it is advisable to go up to the slopes of the Formigal-Panticosa ski resort , although it is also true that at other times of the year you can equally enjoy beautiful views such as those offered by the Portalet parking lot located next to the border with France.
Sarra reservoir
Coming down from Portalet we slept at the Embalse de la Sarra , a beautiful place to enjoy a blanket of stars if you are lucky enough to have a clear day.
It is a place from which you can do different routes. You can park and spend the night well in a camper van and with a motorhome before the power station. You can also park well, although there is a bit of noise from the power station.

Day 3: Hoz de Jaca and the Valle de Tena zip line, the longest zip line in Europe
Hoz de Jaca and its aerial viewpoint
After having breakfast accompanied by a beautiful sunrise, we headed for 30 minutes towards the town of Hoz de Jaca , where there is a spectacular aerial viewpoint where you can take some great panoramic photos over the Búbal Reservoir.
Zip line Valle de Tena, the largest zip line in Europe
Next to the viewpoint is the starting point of the Valle de Tena zip line, the longest double zip line in Europe. To buy tickets for the Valle de Tena zip line, you can visit its information office located a few meters away in the village of Hoz de Jaca.
We recommend that, in high season, you book tickets to the Valle de Tena zip line in advance.
The valley has numerous spaces where you can park the van or motorhome and eat with beautiful views before ending the weekend and starting the sad return home thinking about the next getaway.
We confess, though, that we usually start our commute home listening to the song "Baja por diversión" by the band "La Fuga," dreaming that one day we'll call our boss and beg him not to let us come back to the office on Monday. Listen on Spotify or watch on YouTube.
