The Benasque Valley by motorhome: Senarta camping area, Llanos de Hospital and the Road to Aigualluts
From the Vall de Boí, we debated whether to go down to the Vall Fosca or directly to the Aragonese Pyrenees. Finally, we decided to visit one of our favorite spots in Huesca, the Benasque Valley, in a motorhome , where Aneto is easily accessible and best viewed from any route.
Our first stop is in Benasque capital, where we rented a mountain seat for Ana to do the Aigualluts route the next day that departs from La Besurta, starting from the Llanos de Hospital de Benasque car park.
We spent our first night at the Senarta campsite . An amazing place to camp with toilets and washing facilities in the middle of a dreamlike landscape. The price was also very good at around 10 euros a night. There's no electricity, but there are many hiking trails nearby and a bus that takes you to La Besurta in the summer.

The next day we drove to the Llanos de Hospital parking area , a place we love where you can park your campervan overnight. We'd be staying here for the rest of our time in the Benasque Valley. The only downside is the steep incline, but it's a truly idyllic spot. The day looked promising. From Llanos de Hospital, we took the bus up to La Besurta and hiked a good 12 km round trip to the Aigualluts de Benasque waterfall and plateau . This is part of the route that leads to Aneto. With our 4-year-old and 1-year-old, we weren't sure how things would go. But they were absolute champions. One slept the whole way in her stroller, and the other walked almost the entire way. A great hike suitable for everyone, which we highly recommend.
