    • The gorgas del Segre trail and the via ferrata and zip lines of Llo to which we will surely return to explore better.
  • Worst of this Eyne and Llo Valley getaway by motorhome
    • The stress of the gps wanting to take us along another 4-hour route because it said that the road n-260 (collada de tosas) was closed, which was true ... but there was a temporary detour with which there was no problem to pass with the motorhome.
    • The rain throughout the afternoon of Saturday that left us unable to go to the thermal waters of Llo. They say that in this area there are 300 days of sunshine and that is why there are 3 huge solar power plants ...
TIPS FOR THIS GETAWAY TO THE VALLEY OF EYNE AND LLO BY MOTORHOME
    • General
    • If you want to save over 40 Euros of toll from Olesa and the Cadí tunnel, go along the c-17 and then the N-260 (Collada de Tosas). In our case it was only 10 more minutes and for the savings it was worth it. There are curves and it is a mountain road so if you go through the Tosas pass, always be careful.
    • Always carry always even if the sun shines a raincoat if you make trails through the Pyrenees, at noon it is likely to start raining.
    • If you want to bathe in the thermal waters of Llo, they are open from 9 a.m. to 19:30 p.m. all year, in summer until 20:00 p.m., bring a swimsuit, flip-flops and a towel, you don't need a hat. It is worth € 10 per adult. Children can enter without problem.
    • Neither in Eyne nor in Llo village there are shops, only a restaurant in Llo and the Casa de la Valle de Eyne in Eyne with a small restaurant-little shop to come, so bring provisions for what you need, but for Sallagosa or Bourg-Madame that there are more shops and supermarkets.
    • For gorgas excursions and mountain hiking, remember to equip yourself with good shoes that do not slip, are comfortable and have a good grip on the foot. And another tip if the boots are old, check the sole ... they are the second ones that we have to turn around in the middle of the trail because they have come unstuck ...
    • For hiking excursions, take GPS and download the corresponding trac you want to do before going. We always look at Wikiloc.es for excursions with trac. We download the trac we want and with a garmin mountain gps watch we do the routes, it is much safer than going to the mountain with nothing. Although if you are going to do a couple or three of km with the children for the routes that we propose, there is good signposting and a path.
    • If it is summer and it is hot there are areas where you can soak a bit in the river in the Eyne Valley.
    • Don't forget to bring flip flops, swimsuit and towel in Llo's bathrooms. It does not lack hat. There are hair dryers (underpowered, hand dryer type) and there is no plug to plug yours in, no need to take it with you.
    • Look at the vouchers for Llo's bathrooms before entering, maybe one of them will suit you. There is a family pack for 43 euros that 2 adults + 2 children enter (the saving is 3 euros). There are also 5-ticket nominative vouchers that save you 3,5 euros per ticket, if you're going to go skiing or so it might be more interesting. Children under 3 years old are free.
    • In Eyne go to the house of the Eyne Valley, it is a beautiful place where they will give you all the information about the Valley, there are exhibitions and also a small shop of local products and restaurant.
    • If you go in winter, you have the Cambre d'Aze - Eyne et Saint Pierre dels Forcats ski slopes, very quiet and familiar. Price of about € 20 to € 23 the pass. Cheap equipment rental. Two hours from Barcelona. For perfect kids, for adults who like skiing it won't be the best place.
  • Specific if you travel with children:
    • Remind the children, in the Eyne Valley, not to start flowers, it is prohibited in a protected park.
    • In Eyne there is a tourist office where there is always an exhibition about fauna and flora that children will like.
    • The children, seeing so many insects in the Eyne Valley, have loved the proposal to build cabins to protect themselves, by looking for sticks and breaking them, we have done one, a good activity that they have loved.
    • Be careful with the electrified fence of the sheep farm next to the AClo de LLo parking, it is not signposted.
    • For the Llo baths, don't forget to bring cuffs for the little ones, there is no pool so small that they reach the ground all the time.
    • If you go in winter, you have the Cambre d'Aze - Eyne et Saint Pierre dels Forcats ski slopes, very quiet and familiar. We recommend them if you go with kids. Very easy tracks. Good ski school. Many green and blue runs. Ideal for little ones. A chairlift and the rest tele-tows but practicable for the little ones.
  • Specific if you travel with dogs:
    • They will not be able to access the Llo baths.
    • If you park in the parking lot of the Llo baths, be careful not to let the dog loose, just in front there is a field where the sheep are kept.
  • Specific if you travel to the Eyne and Llo Valley by motorhome:
    • The N-260 (Collada de Tosas) now (date September 28, 2018) is closed for works in a section near Puigcerdà, but there is a detour enabled where you can go with the motorhome without a problem that passes through La Molina.
    • If you are an AC of more than 3m high, remember that you will not be able to take the road parallel to the collada de tosas since there is a tunnel that you do not pass.
    • We strongly advise you to take a special GPS for a motorhome or truck to put your AC measurements, in these mountain areas you go much more relaxed, it is a rest.
THE ESCAPE TO THE VALLEY OF EYNE AND LLO IN A MOTORHOME
IN DETAIL DAY BY DAY
Day 1 Friday at 17pm: Sant Pere de Vilamajor- Eyne or Eina in Catalan
We pick up the kids from school and set off to the Eyne and Llo Valley in our motorhome. We have decided to avoid the tolls of the C-58 and the Cadí tunnel, so we go along the C-17 to take the Collada de Tosas. Suddenly the GPS tells us to deviate from the road because it tells us that the N-260 (hill) is closed and it calculates 4 hours of travel when there is 1:30 ... We start looking on the internet, neither in DGT nor Transit does anything of cut, only that it is under construction in some section.
We decided to continue and if it is really closed and we cannot go on the parallel road (because there is a tunnel in it that we know we did not pass by the altitude) we turn around and change our destination towards Camprodon.
At the moment there is no sign of cutting past Ribas de Freser and even a good chunk, as you arrive in Puigcerdà almost that you actually go and cut! That is if I turn left and without problem passing through La Molina, we already arrive at Puigcerdà.
It is 20pm that we arrive in Eyne, it is a village of little more than 100 inhabitants, with very old stone houses. There is a tourist office, the House of the Eyne Valley, with a restaurant, exhibition hall and small shop. and it is the only thing that is open right now, in winter some restaurant like a pizzeria opens. We go to the overnight parking, which is the parking lot where the trails to the Eyne Valley leave, it is a great esplanade of land, with bathrooms and a small information booth, which is now closed. We slept accompanied by a van only.
We prepare dinner, we have dinner and it is time to sleep early tomorrow morning and go for a walk. First day of the getaway to the Eyne and Llo Valley in a motorhome passed.
Day 2 Saturday: Eyne Valley and LLo
The kids as usual wake us up very early, so great, we get going first thing in the morning. We decided to do the Prat d'en Sicardo de la Valle de Eyne interpretation trail. We follow their signage.
We began to see many lilac flowers that we fell in love with and as a family we photographed them exploring their habitat and that they must like in that area.
After a short time, the first mishap on the trail, Jose literally runs out of the soles of his boots that have come off… he had to renew them, we knew it but we have hurried too hahaha
It's up to him to go back to the car and change his shoes. While the children and I do a photo shoot, where they are the photographers and stage managers and I model her in the trees. Very funny.
When he comes back, we will set the course.
The path runs between a wooden bridge that crosses the river and along a parallel path. When we have been there for an hour and a half, the little one begins to be tired, everything and carry the mountain backpack. So, we decided to stop along the way and gather strength. At that moment it occurs to us to make a hut for crickets and grasshoppers, which there are many. Arnau wants them to have shelter for when it rains, and thank goodness because then it will rain a lot.
After the task of looking for sticks, breaking them and building a small hut, it has been almost time to eat and since we have not brought the food we decided to turn around. We go back and when we start to make food, the spectacle of rain, thunder and lightning begins! And that towards a spectacular sun…. Who was going to say it, but in the Pyrenees we already know ... All the food and afternoon passes raining. After nap we decided to move to Llo, to see if we can take advantage of the rain and go to the Baths.
Along the road we see an impressive solar power station. It is seen that it is an area where there are a few since they say that there are 300 sunny days a year (just today it rains go: P). We discovered that some can be visited even, we leave it for the next, it can be interesting to expand knowledge and for the little ones.
In Llo we park in the Acs area of the Los Baños, Gorgas del Segre and Via Ferrata car parks. Neither in AC nor by car can you continue.
The site, a huge esplanade in front of spectacular scenery, is beautiful. In front we have a flock of sheep and the mountains, behind the silhouette of Llo, a charming town. There are about 10 or 12 motorhomes.
It rains a lot so we decided not to go to the bathrooms, which also close at 19:30 p.m. As soon as it subsides a bit, we take our raincoats and go to explore the town. Arnau and Anna make cat and sheep friends.
But the deluge doesn't start again at all, so stop the car again. And dinners, movies, games and bed. At night it stops raining. Menudo second day of the getaway to the Eyne and Llo Valley in a motorhome passed through water.
Day 3 Sunday: Llo- Sant Pere de Vilamajor
Today the little ones give us a little more truce and get up around 8:30 J Good time to have breakfast and start on a Sunday.
The Baños de Llo open at 10 am, so we decided to go first thing. Today is the day of return and the children will not forgive us for not having gone ...
We go to the Baths and before we explore a little the path of the Gorgas del Segre and Via Ferrata, we are left wanting to do a good stretch or some activity, in the via ferrata that there are also zip lines. That if the via ferrata is paid, 16,26 or € 29 uros, depending on the route you choose with the team (they do not let you take yours) and with zip lines included. There are packs even with the bathrooms. Anyway, dear.

In the bathrooms we buy the family pack that we save 3 euros and that includes 2 adults and 2 children (Anna is 3 years old and already pays).
The bathrooms have indoor and outdoor pools, with jacucuis, jets, hammam, the truth is that they are very complete, nothing to do with those in Dorres, which are also sulphurous waters but have few pools and little water (of course the price is much cheaper).
The kids love it and so do we. That if an hour and a half and they are already ko and they ask to leave, they do not even arrive at the two hours that they tell you that you have to leave lol. After all of how relaxed we are, we go to the car to eat.
Everything and tired, they go back and as enough air blows they decide to fly the kites in the acs area. The truth is that they fly super well, even Anna can handle it for a long time. And already done the food, to eat and collect
the van that has to go. To empty water we go to the motorhome area of Sallagosa, but we see that we need jetons for black water, so we empty gray and black we will do it in the bathroom of the garage at home.

And already on the road, slowly but calm we make the pass of Tossa with its beautiful landscapes and at 19pm we are already at home after a magnificent getaway to the Eyne and Llo Valley by motorhome.
